 Here we are with the Nordica Unleashed 108, the big brother to the 98 in the widest of the all-new Unleashed series. Very similar characteristics to the 98. Got that early rise in the tip and tail, metal all the way throughout the ski, super responsive, super snappy. Not so much of a park skier, this guy, but definitely your all-mountain charger

 This is a ski that I would look at. Full, titanal top sheet, keeping the ski insanely stable at high speeds, which is super important when you're hitting anything that's steep. This ski is like just a huge, big all-mountain charger. And with all that said, it still carves really well

2023 Nordica Unleashed 108 Review - Newschoolers Ski Test

Hey bud, I am also based at Whistler. Out of those three, I'd recommend the Unleashed 108. Carves well for a wide ski, floats well enough for our heavy snow, fairly damp, pretty playful, well built and durable. I find ~108 is the perfect width for an everyday ski for Whistler

Im 186cm and 80kg and an Advanced skier.

Im looking to spend 70% Powder/Open Bowls/ Wide Tree Runs and 30% on groomers at Whiser. Basically want skis that doesnt take lot of input to initiate turns and that can be able to carve abit. Also, that can fairly handle cruds/hardpack with minimal chatters (im okay with abit of chatters but not too much). Im planning to buy second quiver skis thats between 85-95 for non-powder days at local mountains.

I have 3 skis in my mind:

- Black Crows Atris
- Nordica Unleashed 108
- Salomon QST Blanks

I know im asking alot but i would appreciate if you guys can recommend the closest of the three that i listed.

 Here's what our tester had to say about it. My name is Dylan Stirlayev, I'm 41 years old, I'm a rope access welder and I live in Rossin, BC. I'm about 5'9", 160 pounds. I'm reviewing the Nordica Unleashed 108 in a 186 length

 I really like the versatility of this ski. It performed excellent in everything it did, like solid nines across the board, did everything well. What I liked most about it was the moderate rocker profile and the slight camber led to a really long effective edge and gave the ski a lot of stability. I found the best snow conditions with this ski was it definitely performed well in deeper snow, did an excellent job in some rained on heavy shmoo and just mowed through pretty much anything you put in front of it

 Certainly more of backcountry freestyle orientation going on with this ski, but we do see a good amount of splay. One of the big differences in profile versus enforcer is a shorter rocker profile, a longer underfoot camber. So that leads to a more dramatic splay and a bigger distance between the tips overall. So really helps the ski just pop up

I’m looking for something that’ll give good control through tree off-shoots and decent performance on-piste. Definitely not trying to break any speed records, would prefer something a bit more playful.

I’ve been looking at the Head Core 93 at 170 length. Thoughts on these or better alternatives?

Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy my first set of skis this season. I'm currently trying to decide between the Bent 85/90, ARV 96, and Enforcer 88/94. I'm going to try and demo each pair this season but was wondering if anyone had advice for me off the bat regarding ideal ski height, width, flex, etc.

Ultimately, I'm looking for a ski that's comfortable everywhere -- nimble in the trees, has decent float, holds a nice edge, stable at high-speed, and relatively playful. 

Background:

I'm 24 years old and have been skiing since I was 4. I don't ski all that often (maybe 10-15 days each year), both in the east coast and midwest. I can handle blacks with relative ease and would probably classify myself as a Type 2.5 skier. 

Specs:

5'11, 165 lbs

Usage:

I plan to use these skis everywhere. I'm happiest in the glades and going off-piste, but I enjoy groomed runs and carving every once in a while. I like to hit side jumps but don't go to the park all that often. I'd like to improve my switch skiing and get 360s down, but don't plan on learning too many tricks beyond that.

Nordica Unleashed 108 in the 186 would be an excellent option; incredibly fun ski, full twin tip, excellent in trees, and I think the 186 will fit you well. The QST 106, M-Free 108, and Atris could also be options

The new Nordica Unleashed series felt amazing when I tried them. Easy to ski for how strong and versatile they are.

Looking for a pair of first skis for east coast mountains 

Have only used rentals before and can confidently ski blues and was able to get a few blacks on 4th time skiing last season 

Plan to go 2-4 times a year and figure it’s worth investment to own my own gear at this point. Don’t need the fanciest skis on the market by any means 

Any recommendations? I’m 6’2” and 155 for reference and longest skis I’ve used so far are 175’s
