Despite these issues, we really came to love the realistic and immersive cycling experience this bike and the iFit app offer and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to feel trapped in a studio.

 It'S bulky, it's heavy! It'S hard to move it's just not my favorite of the bikes, but i'm also probably being too harsh because it gets the job done and a lot of people thoroughly enjoy the experience that you get on this. So that's just me being very nitpicky, but it gets the job done. Next up is one of the most important categories and that's the ride, quality and we'll start with the resistance, and i think this bike competes with all of the rest. It has great range meaning you can go from easy to medium to challenging and you have a lot of control there, but also they have a very good top-end resistance setup

 It is heavy and i was very happy to see it get done and i didn't have to worry about it, so that was a pro from ordering from nor to track, but regardless of what direction you want to go, i have links in the description down below. So check those out if you want to look into this bike. Next is the bike itself and personally i've never been the biggest fan. It'S plasticky

 So the people that experienced a lot of problems - hopefully we're not seeing near as many of those with this bike as they have addressed those and before we do that. I want to talk about a supporter of this channel, the amino co and their perform lineup. Now, when you get back to working out or when you are working out hard, you tax your muscles a lot and sometimes the next day. You don't feel ready to tackle that same exercise at the level you want, or sometimes you just feel sore

 So when i go to future exercises, i feel ready to go at them and i can even do more. I seem to have more endurance, more ability to push through workouts and just get more out of them. Well, i'm not feeling sore all the time, and i think my favorite thing is that i'm not stacking a bunch of things together to try to get the results. I need

 But clip-in cycling shoes help you ride faster, making it easier to pull, not just push, on the pedals. If you buy the S22i, I recommend eventually swapping out the stock pedals with a pair you can clip into for added riding efficiency (it's compatible with all standard road bike pedals and seats).&nbsp;

 The good news is that I was able to fix these issues by simply restarting the bike (unplugging it then plugging it back in), and it has since worked flawlessly in several live and on-demand classes.&nbsp;

In terms of design, the S22i is fairly compact, measuring 55.0 by 21.9 by 56.9 inches (LWH), and its maximum recommended rider weight is 350 pounds

Let's start with the interface. At the bottom of the S22i's main iFit screen, there are tabs for Home, Calendar, Create, Browse, and On-Air.

 It is one of the nicer features that I found as far as just keeping that comfort level there. It works great, it's not overly loud sounds like a fan and it does have multiple levels, so you can change it to your comfort level as you ride in off so turn it off. So very nice little feature simple, but beneficial and while we're here, let's also talk about the location of the included three pound weights. I love it and I hate it

 What they do is that when you change the incline starts tilting your back you're kind of heading up. What they also do is change the magnet, so it goes closer, so they're increasing the resistance, which means, as you change incline, they're, changing the resistance to give you that feel, like you're, really going up a hill. So it's neat that they at least they make that change. It'S not just an incline change

 You know not really able to be able push you that hard kind of fall off at the top end and, to be perfectly honest with you, this matches the best I've tested. I was thoroughly surprised at how good the resistance was. It is realistic. It feels good

 I don't know, but none of the other bikes it made me feel so or anything like that. But this one did - and I just don't feel like to see as quite as good as the others, maybe not quite as much cushion the way it's cut out. Just a little different you'll, probably adapt it you'll probably get used to it, but just keep in mind you might find yourself wanting a different seat, or at least putting some type of cushion around it, whether that's padded, shorts or a padded seat cover you might want To improve that a little bit, because this is one of the rough receipts that I've tested now when it comes to the pedals, they're dual sided me and they have a flat side like a regular bicycle and then, when you flip of a cage, you can put Your foot in tighten it down and you can pull up on the upstroke as well that all works great. I have no complaints, but as far as the way they decided to build us, I wish they would have included clip-in pedals, clippin, pedals security of the bike

 The touch screen also barely works. These two things combined result in an awful experience. I'd say on average, it takes me between 5 and 10 "taps" on the screen to actually get it to respond. Since the software is slow, it's also hard to know if the hardware understood the tap and it's just waiting for the software, or I need to tap again

 I think if the software was designed correctly, they would indicate if something was loading by showing a little spinny cursor or something. To get to a ride, you have to click on a ride to view the details, then click Start Ride, then click Agree to some disclaimer every time, then click Start to end the onscreen warmup, then you're finally riding. It probably takes over a minute to do all this because the touch screen is so unresponsive.  My overall opinion of this bike is it's worth keeping simply because the actual experience when you finally make it to a workout is so good

 I don't know if these things are just manufactured off or what, but nothing lines up correctly and the simplest thing is a battle against any patience you may have. Putting in the arm that holds up the screen was even more ridiculous. At one point, I was 99.9% convinced that they sent us the wrong screw or something, and we were just about to head down to Home Depot to look for the right one

 It probably takes over a minute to do all this because the touch screen is so unresponsive.  My overall opinion of this bike is it's worth keeping simply because the actual experience when you finally make it to a workout is so good. It's a fun bike and iFit owns a lot of fantastic content. The trainers are awesome! Now I want to travel to some of these places as well! The bike quality, though difficult to assemble, is pretty good

 The UX design needs a ton of work, but hopefully they can change that through software updates. The quality of the iFit website itself is absolutely awful, and they probably need to scrap the whole thing and go for a complete rewrite. Since there's a pretty good community of riders, I think there's hope for iFit and NordicTrack to make a fantastic product so I'm sticking with it for now.  Final thing, if you own this bike, I'd highly recommend joining the "Nordictrack S22i Studio Cycle Riders Group" on Facebook

 Unless you follow exactly what the trainer wants, and this really limited the amount of classes that i enjoyed because well, a lot of classes are designed for beginners and i'm not like a crazy, advanced biker or anything, but the classes just were not designed for the resistance That would work well for me, but that was before their newest update and really the reason why i'm making this review, because it's that important is a new update added what has been in beta for several months, which is called smart, adjust what smart adjust does. Is it allows you to change the resistance, but it'll still follow the plan from the trainer, so it'll make the entire workout harder or easier, depending on what you need to get a good workout, and not only that, but it remembers this, so it adjusts all your Future workouts as well, and if it's ever too hard or too easy, you can make a quick adjustment and it'll still continually adjust automatically the entire workout. And i can't even begin to explain you how important this update is, because it allowed me to start taking any class that they had available and they have thousands of classes and all kinds of cool locations available that i previously wasn't interested in, because they might be Beginner or whatever, and now i can take all of the classes, knowing that i'm going to get a perfect workout that is designed just for me. Ifit also offers a lot of live classes every day for you to choose from, they aren't necessarily the best or most well produced live classes ever, but the coaches are really good and they do do a great job at what they're supposed to do, which is keeping You accountable for those who, like a more live experience, there's also a google map ride, feature that allows you to build your own courses and write through google images of places and the same elevation as that root

Nordictrack S22i Studio Cycle Review (Before You Buy!)

 So even if I wanted to use the superior Browse function for classes (which was ONLY "superior" because it has a Filter function) to start class playback on my bike, I couldn't. Unusable.  iFit Software on the Bike: WHY IS THERE NO SEARCH, SORT, OR FILTER?!? Seriously. Why? (There is a Browse, but it basically just dumps every single thing in the library on a single screen with no way to sort or filter

 If necessary, I will get a tap and die set and rethread it myself. Annoying, but not a deal breaker.  The bike is quite heavy, so unless you have a lot of upper body strength, you will need a second person for the majority of the assembly. They're not kidding when they say you need two people

Wondering if I should have gotten a Peloton

 Writing so back here, you'll notice. There'S a power incline motor and that will lift the bike up. You'Ve glass also got an arm underneath that pivots, the top up and down and up here inside this shaft you've, got your incline and decline that will lift the front end of the bike and drop it back down. So this bike can reach a 20 percent incline and a 10 percent decline which is really cool because I'm a spin instructor and in most spin classes you simulate in incline just with resistance

 Nice and tight around your toe so that when you come to the top of that pedal stroke, you can pull up with those feet as much as push down at the bottom. So nice pedals on this. The other thing that's nice about these is you can swap them out. So if you want to use an s2 SPD pedal where you clip down in kind of like with a spin by expends, shoe or a mountain bike shoe, you can do those or you can do like the Delta look pedals like they do on the peloton bike

 So that's really nice. Now, I'm gon na take this deep claw. I'M going to take this down to a negative ten percent decline. I want you to see how low it goes
