 The built-in benchmark produced next up is apex legends, which is probably the game. I was most excited to try out, because i felt this was going to be kind of the edge of providing a good experience. I again test this at 720p low settings and hopping into a match. I was pretty surprised at the performance sure it looked awful just like many of the other games, but performance was fine

 The gt 1030 is a pretty interesting card for how it performs in games and i'm really hoping nvidia releases a gt. 1630 or something that'll, give us more performance in the same size and with the same power draw so yeah guys.  It'S definitely aging a lot, but with two gigabytes of video memory. It'S still fine today, if all you're doing is playing light, esports games, this msi version is low profile, but it is a dual slot card because of its heatsink. This card is so low power that it actually can be passively cooled, which is pretty interesting. Taking the cooler off, we can see that this heatsink is basically just a big hunk of aluminum, which is fine and you'll, be able to see temps later in the benchmark section of the video one

Other nice thing is the fact: this card comes with both a full height and low profile bracket to change these. You just have to remove two screws change out the bracket then reinstall those screws also just to note, even though this gt 1030 is passively cooled, it still performs as well as any other gt 1030

Is The GT 1030 Worth it in 2021?!?

It works for a while then hangs in 2 different workstations

8 frames per second and a 1 low of 13 frames per second. On the opposite end for multiplayer, first person shooters. You really want high frame rates as the quicker you can react, the easier it is to succeed. The gt 1030 can't accomplish this

 Something else i noticed was the game seemed like it was in slow motion when playing not sure what that was about star wars. Squadrons with the lowest settings got an average of 74.6 frames per second and a one percent low of 51.3 frames per second squadrons was another title that surprised me with its performance: [, Music, ], rainbow six siege on low settings and medium textures got an average of 59 frames per second and a one percent low of 43

A Review Of The Nvidia GT 1030 In 2021

If you're looking for a review on performance, skip this review.  I was swapping out an older mobo from a mid atx tower to a slim case. I needed a low profile, low power consumption video card capable of DirectX12 to replace the GT630 on this old AMD triple core pc with only a 300W PSU running Win10 64bit. For $75 the GT1030 was a good value option considering GT 730 and 710 were selling for approx $65\60

 This is 10-15C cooler than the max GPU temp (Tmax).  TEST ENVIRONMENT:  - SMALL COMPUTER CASE with lots of air venting (a worst case case for noise) - NO OTHER FANS in the case other than CPU fan - GPU at 100% load  RESULTS:  (1) 33%-50% fan speeds all result in 79C, nearly silent 2'+ away 55% fan speed result in 78C, and still quiet enough for under desk 65% fan speed result in 75C, Audible 4'+ away, OKish under desk 75% fan speed result in 70C, Audible 4'+ away, audible under desk 80% fan speed is MUCH noisier than even 75%  (2) I CHOSE TO MOSTLY RUN AT 33% fan speed (lowest settable) since at 79C we are still well under the 82-87C goal. At that fan speed it is INAUDIBLE UNDER THE DESK.  33% Fan Speed translates to 1,940-2,090 RPM

  If you are considering this for a modern gaming rig, I would quickly advise spending the money toward a proper modern card. 3DMark Time Spy gets around 1200 GPU at 7-10 fps (OC actually gave slightly worse scores in GPU), but the card shines on low-complexity with all the supported APIs. Also, do not install the included OC engine if you're running a recent revision of Windows 10. Stick to the base drivers and MSI Afterburner

Good card to bring new life to an old system, but...

 After I got this GPU I went to 110-120fps @ 1080p with all settings turned all the way up except anti aliasing.  I honestly wasn’t expecting that much of a difference. But I also tried playing Fortnite once and it wasn’t good at all. So graphically intensive games will need a better GPU than this, but for games like Rocket League, WoW, CSGO, Dota, etc, this GPU will greatly improve frame rates

If you don’t have a dedicated graphics card, and are in need of a low profile card that doesn’t require a lot of power, than this card is perfect. I bought a used computer that had decent CPU but had no dedicated GPU. It’s a small computer so I needed something small to fit, and I didn’t want to change the PSU. This is good for Low profile computers with little video card space. nothing else.

 At least, this is my personal experience. So this card (GT 1030) is good if you already have the rest of your PC build already, and you only need a low profile and decently strong graphics card that can play most games at 60+ FPS.  However, if you are looking to build low power-consumption PC from scratch, then I highly recommend anyone to buy a APU like the 2400G or 3400G. The graphics card is built into the CPU chip, so it will save you so much space, power consumption, and money!
