 Ah, is it really worth it, but you can, for the most part, hit a 60fps target. However, in a lot of games like cyberpunk - and this could go for other things like red, dead redemption, 2, another older game - that's still very demanding graphically and still looks quite nice when the settings are turned up. Well, that's the issue again. If you turn up the settings even just playing at 1080p a lot of times, you're really only going to be hitting a 30fps target, although you might be able to get into the you know the 40 range and if you have a variable refresh rate, monitor that Might help smooth that out? So that's the issue we already have in the more graphically demanding games kind of hit the limit where the 1060 is gon na, maybe get you 60 fps

 I you did it myself benchmarking data, to give you my opinions, as well as the fact that honestly, three gigabytes these days guys a lot of games are going to be really struggling there, and i think my recommendation is upgrade if you, if you have any chance At doing that, financially, i know the gpu market right now sucks, but anyway, the 1066 gigabyte in a lot of games these days, the problem is well. You can hit 60 fps, there's a lot of trade-offs that you have to make. If we look at some games that came out in the last couple of years, we can get a good idea of what it'll also look like into the future, at least into 2022, because while certain games often take a giant leap in terms of hardware requirements, either Due to really pushing graphical boundaries or bad optimization, whichever way you want to go on that, we see games like cyberpunk at the end of 2020, really pushing that boundary and well hey. Let'S take a look at that game

 But look at, is it worth paying a little bit more to jump up significantly in terms of the actual performance, because one thing that's affecting the used prices on the market? Isn'T just their gaming performance? It'S also mining performance, so sometimes a card. You know the the used prices, don't always make perfect sense in terms of a gaming performance chart right. I will say, like i said that the 1066 gigabyte still can definitely play games at 60, fps barely right now in the more demanding ones and but if you're really looking for a 30 fps kind of experience for the next few years, i think it'll absolutely get You there so definitely consider it, but really consider the price and other alternatives, because this thing is getting a little bit old

 I have an rx 6600 that i review quite a bit on this channel and that can hit 1080p 60fps maxed out settings occasionally tweaking something down to high, instead of ultra in maybe something silly like what was it icarus, which is honestly just very, very, very badly. Optimized um, but the point is that you might be able to actually get a decent upgrade funding it through selling the 1060.. Now let me talk to you, people who are thinking about

Need help choosing CPU + Graphics card

I'm driving 5760x1080 with this card and it plays great! I don't run ultra settings of course but I get smooth 35-60 FPS in triple A titles on medium-high settings which are still gorgeous! This new Pascal architecture is so impressive, It's amazing what this sub $300 card will do! Also, this card supports RGB on the logo and then has other red only LEDs. My rig is red/black so fits perfect (see pic).  The missing star: Heads up, when I bought it MSI was offering a $15 rebate, I completed the requirements to a T and it was denied. When I inquired they said it's because I didn't include a valid receipt and mailing a printed receipt from Amazon which is what I did isn't good enough

Great card!  5760x1080 at med-high settings in 2016 titles.  Overkill cooler and expensive but beautiful!

 The gtx 1060 still does okay, but it slips below 60fps. There'S no doubt that the 60 class of gpus from nvidia has scaled impressively over the years, but so too has the price. We can't give credit to the 3060 for improving as much as it has when so much of that improvement is included with another price hike. So, even today the gtx 1060 really isn't bad for 1080p gaming

I was recommended this card from PC builder when I was making a lower-cost computer. This card performs GREAT for the price. When I bought it, the price was 214.99$

The nvidia gtx 1060 may just be the new mass consumer workhorse card that replaces the 970 in terms of steam serve a crushing sales. Why price? When the GTX 970 launched an EVGA superclocked Edition was about 350 US dollars. You might expect that EVGA is 1070 and everyone else's for that matter. It would be about the same price nope it's about four hundred and forty dollars

 But what this car doesn't have too much surprise is an SLI connector. Now, in videos, official statement on this more or less is that if you want more performance, you should just buy a 1070 or 1080 instead of 210 60 s setting that they would rather focus their support on SLI setups for those cards. Instead. That being said, you will still be able to use multiple 1060 s together in certain games if those games are able to take advantage of MDA or Lda explicit modes in directx12

 I'D highly suggest checking out my video on the confusing state of SLI and multiple GPU setups raw performance wise. It walked all over the rx 480 in every title, except for hitman, which, admittedly, is a pretty AMD tuned title it one in Christ is three Star Wars: Battlefront and tomb raider, all at 1440p, with very high settings, enabled by seven eight and 10 FPS respectively. Then in hitman it lost at those same settings by about 4 fps, then to layer. On top of that, the story was rather similar at 4k with medium settings, but this isn't the whole story in AMD fans before you rush down to the comments and start screaming at me for being what is kind of a shill
