NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Specs

The card's power efficiency, though, might be even more impressive than all that frame-pushing. The company says the GeForce GTX 980's thermal design power (TDP) rating is just 165 watts. That's down from 250 watts in the GeForce GTX 780 Ti, and 30 watts less than the GeForce GTX 680  (which came in at 195 watts). The GeForce GTX 980's power requirements are also precipitously less than AMD's slightly slower Radeon R9 290X

Here, AMD's Radeon R9 290X performed a few frames per second better at resolutions above 1080p. Still, know that this is another title that typically skews a little in favor of AMD cards. And performance was close enough that driver updates (on either side) could give either card an edge.

While the GeForce GTX 980, at a suggested price of $549, isn't anything resembling a budget card, it's $100 less expensive than the GeForce GTX 780  was at launch, and $150 cheaper than the GeForce GTX 780 Ti (as of this writing, at least). Of course, video-card prices are ever malleable, and the introduction of the GeForce GTX 980 and 970 cards signals the end of the line for the GeForce GTX 780 Ti, GTX 780, and GTX 770, according to Nvidia. As a result, some near-term deals may be available on those cards. On the red-and-black side of the fence, AMD's Radeon R9 290X was available when we wrote this for a bit less (about $525, and including some generous game bundles, and in a few e-tail configs for a bit under $500), but you'll likely end up paying more in the long run in electric bills over years of gaming with that card

Well I went to the computer store and I saw there was no graphics card except GT 710s and GT 1030s Some were overpriced but I saw a R9 270 I went to my phone and checked how good it was I saw good reviews about it but I'm not sure If it's still worth it in 2021 So I came here in reddit to ask this question
