Looking at Hank lights but seems insanely complex and nobody seems to really "love" them yet they're highly recommended

I got this for a gift but it wasn't well received- the UI is non-intuitive, it takes a proprietary battery (*not* a 18350), that battery goes in the opposite way of 98% of all other flashlights. Compact form factor is nice, as is the dual-use clip, but this gets zero use in our house.

Overpriced, crap UI, proprietary battery.

 I currently own an Olight Baton 3 that I sometimes carry in my trouser pockets for quick/small needs, but I'm looking for something more substantial that fills up my hand better for late night walks. That said, is this like Apple products where I should steer towards the Seeker 2 Pro or the M2R Pro Warrior since I've already started down the path of the integrated Olight magnetic charging? Thanks in advance.

**Battery Type & Quantity**:  I think am looking at lights with 1x21700 rechargeable battery.  

**Main Use**: This light will live in my work bag, but I will probably most often use it for going on walks after dark from suburban to rural settings.  

**Purpose**:  This light will an everyday bag carry in my computer bag, and it will be my primary light for going on walks after dark. 

 After I used it for the first time if I had my jeans on the light was clipped to my pocket. For about two or three weeks, then it quit lighting. At first I thought the battery was perhaps dead, so I bought a new 123A battery which didn’t help. I then recharged the battery that came in the light, but still got nothing

 A couple of weeks later I needed a quick light so I walked over to my desk and picked up my O-Light. When I turned it on I realized that the O-Light wasn’t just a cheap one from the local stop & rob! It’s incredibly bright and small and light enough that one isn’t aware of it clipped to the pocket of their jeans. After I used it for the first time if I had my jeans on the light was clipped to my pocket. For about two or three weeks, then it quit lighting

 Flipped it over and the light is as bright as it ever was. This light is perfect for EDC. I can’t recommend it enough.

A  Perfect Flashlight

So anyway, I've done some research on some flashlights but the information out there is dizzying with all of the brands and different specs.  Honestly, the s2 was around 1000 lumen so I'd like to stick with that or higher, and I loved the magnetic tailcap. The size was just about perfect.  I don't carry it in my pocket as I have a leather carrier I keep my leatherman and my flashlight in

I really like the light.  Really bright and really lights up whatever I need. I usually used cr123 batteries until I realized I could used the 18650 batteries I had left over from my vaping days.  

I used this light for the first time last night while working, it was great i could read and see labels perfectly. BUT!!! when the battery gets low, wow instant drop in brightness, also recharging the battery takes forever. so if you can deal with that like i did then it's just an ok light.

 The S1R is on the left, S1 Mini HCRI on the right. Additionally, I included a photo of night time illumination of an area. I thought it was quite impressive. The S1 Mini HCRI is also $15 cheaper than the S1R

When Olight released the S1 Mini Baton HCRI, I thought, great, another light in the S1 series. What could be so great about it? Well, I was pretty much wrong in my assumption, while it shares some of the same dimensions as the S1R, it’s a new light from the ground up with some nifty features.  You may ask, what is HCRI and why pick the HCRI version vs the regular version? HCRI stands for High Color Rendering Index. This index is a scale from 0 to 100 that indicates how accurate a light source is at rendering color when compared to a "reference" light source

 S1 Mini Baton HCRI:  Illumination Differences: Turbo Mode: S1R - 900 Lumens; S1 Mini HCRI - 450 Lumens; S1R Turbo Mode is 450 Lumens brighter than the S1 Mini HCRI High Mode: S1R - 300 Lumens; S1 Mini HCRI - 250 Lumens; S1R High Mode is 50 Lumens brighter than the S1 Mini HCRI  Physical Dimensions - This is a tiny light!  I thought it was quite impressive. The S1 Mini HCRI is also $15 cheaper than the S1R. A great buy if you ask me and it’s easy to look over the two minor annoyances I listed. I have several Olight flashlights, but my S1R tends the be the one I’m always grabbing to take out and about
