OneUp Components may not have the most creative names for their pedals, but the Aluminum impressed our testers. These lightweight alloy flat pedals have a large, 114 x 104mm platform with ten well-placed bottom loading traction pins per side. We were awed by their grip both on the descent and the climbs, and the platform size provided a balanced and supportive feel for a huge range of foot sizes. The pedal's profile is thin, with 8.8mm thick leading and trailing edges and a 12.1mm thick body at the axle. Their slim profile helps to avoid pedal strikes, and we found them to work well for disciplines ranging from trail riding to lift-served days at the bike park. 
While we were enamored with the Aluminum pedals, we did have a couple of minor complaints. Some riders might find these pedals to be a bit too grippy, and they may not be ideal for dirt jumping or people who appreciate easy foot mobility. The slightly convex shape of the pedal also might turn some riders off, as could the bulge on the inboard side of the pedal body at the axle that houses a large bearing. Despite these issues, we feel these well-rounded, lightweight, and moderately priced flats are the best of the bunch.

We feel the OneUp Components Aluminum is a great pedal that should work for most people and riding styles. They rose to the top of a crowded field of competitors thanks to their well-rounded performance and impressive levels of grip. These alloy pedals use ten well-placed bottom-loading traction pins per side with a slightly convex shape and a large platform. Whether you're grinding up an ultra-technical climb or bombing down the gnar, your feet stay in position, and these pedals are confidence-inspiring. The low-profile design helps keep the pedals from smashing rocks and obstacles, making them a great option for everyday trail riding. OneUp makes service instructions and replacement parts readily available from their website, and the rebuild procedure is quite simple. While we found a lot to love about the Aluminum, we still found some nits to pick. Due to the high level of grip, testers agreed that the ability to move or reposition the foot is somewhat limited. We think it sounds a little silly to call these pedals "too grippy," but if foot mobility is a priority, you may want to look elsewhere. The bearing bulge on the inboard side of the platform on the spindle may also present some issues for some riders. Beyond that, we feel these sleek, lightweight, and grippy pedals are some of the best we tested.

 I bought 3 of these and all of them squeak within a week. Some you can hear every pedal, some only when pedaling softly or slowly. Still, annoying!  I love the low profile but the pins are such that the overall shape is convex, not concave, so there's too much pressure focused on the center of your foot and not around it, which is not good for grip actually!  Overall I think the design needs some work. So close, but so far

 Pedals are on heavy side. Also, pedals needed to be heavily oiled after first ride due to loud squeak. For 140 bucks I give these 2 stars. RaceFace far better

These are sick in red! Very solid wide pedals. Don't have enough much to complain about on em, had them for some months now and they do the job as good as a flat pedal would, now would I recommend these? Guess it depends on your financial situation, if you can afford them go for it, if you have to squeeze your wallet you can find something cheaper that will most likely be about the same.
