No Lens Shift

I currently have an Epson HC 2150 that I'm using for movies and gaming (majority gaming). I'm wanting to upgrade and I've narrowed it down to 2 projectors: Optoma UHD50x or the Epson HC 3800. Both will give me the screen size I'm looking for without having to sacrifice anything. Doing my due diligence, I'm stumped on a couple things:

1) My projector sits 16'1" from the lens to where it projects to, BUT,  raised slightly so it will have to shift down a little to square up on the screen. The Epson wouldn't have an issue with this. The Optoma (from what I'm reading) will cancel any keystone once Enhanced Gaming Mode is turned on. Will it also cancel the vertical shift?? 

2) The Optoma UHD50x is true 4K. Epson uses pixel shifting to achieve 4K. Will my Xbox series X pick up the Epson as 4K?

Awesome projector. A pain to set up

My boyfriend's birthday is coming up, and because he loves to play games, I want to buy a projector as a birthday gift for him. 

So do you have any recommendations for a gaming projector? 

I browsed some projectors: BENQ X1300I, OPTOMA UHD50X and Dangbei Mars Pro.

Each has its own disadvantages and advantages and I don't know which one is the best choice. Or do you have any other recommendations?

Advice on buying a gaming projector please

I had to return it bse the projector speaker would be active when using sound bar connected through S/PDIF Optical out. I had a call with Optoma support and they confirmed that this wasn't the expected behavior. Otherwise it works as advertised.

 BUT, they don't want you to watch anything in 3D.  TL;DR: The projector is packed with features that provide the best combination in its price range, at least on paper. 3D does not work if you're one of the 99% of people who watch 3D from their computer - there is no side-by-side or top-and-bottom mode, even though every other Optoma projector has it (except for UHD38).

 This projector is a direct 1-step-up upgrade from UHD30 or UHD50X, yet those 2 have these 3D features It really takes an infinitesimal amount of extra work to incorporate those 2 features in the firmware. I am a Software Developer with a CS degree, and I know for a fact that it's almost as simple as copy-pasting those features from any of the previous models!  Everything else about this projector is amazing (on paper, as I haven't tried the other features)! 240Hz refresh rate with the lowest input lag on a projector in history! Lowest input lag in history for 4k projector gaming! HDR, HLG, Four Corners feature, Vertical AND Horizontal Keystone, etc. BUT, they don't want you to watch anything in 3D.  TL;DR: The projector is packed with features that provide the best combination in its price range, at least on paper
