I've been into watches for years now and after a few years of collecting the classic budget oriented watches like the beloved Seiko SKX and orient Bambino, I finally decided to to save up to buy my grail watch, the omega speedmaster professional. And after a couple years of saving most of my money at a minimum wage job I finally managed to work up the funds just in time to buy it for my 20th birthday and i could not be happier!

OP here, got into watches about a year ago and since then I have collected a few cheaper pieces, such as an Orient Bambino, an Orient Ray 2, a Seiko SNK809 and a G-Shock. With an important milestone in my life coming up though, my gf and I decided it was time to spend a little bit more to celebrate the occasion. Spent a few weeks trying to decide between a few watches, all in the 500 to 800 euros price range, and finally pulled the trigger on this beauty. I am already in love, can’t wait to put it on a nice leather strap.

The bracelet is actually very comfortable and doesn’t pull my arm hairs at all (because I barely have any). I also haven’t become annoyed at the jingle-jangle yet; fingers crossed!. From an aesthetics standpoint, my only niggle is that the flat crystal and bezel combination gives a rather 2D impression when viewed side-on. I’m thinking a bezel or bezel insert changeout is on the horizon.

It’s very flexible, can be dressed up or down, and feels perfect on my wrist. The mixed American/Swiss history makes it feel even more special to me. Orient Bambino: the heat-treated blue hands blow me away every time I look at this watch.
