Good overall, not waterproof.

 That's my little little complaint. I guess outer pocket. Check that out. Look at that

 It's been good all the whole time. We have the strap here to Snug it up at the bottom. very. It's a very thick pad on the shoulder harness shoulder strap

 This is an iphone 7 and I think that we'll see if this fits in there. Yeah, that fits. There We go there, we go. So that's an iPhone 7

 You do have quick access here with the zipper, but it's still that the mesh pocket I have into my Manta 24 and my Atmos 65 I Really like those I Think the hip belt pockets could be just slightly bigger? It's a minor complaint. just slightly bigger. I Really appreciate the hip belt pockets and the ID does not come with the hydration bladder I think that's a mistake. So those four things Minor complaints

OSPREY STRATOS 36 Daypack Review | Can You OVERNIGHT with the 36L?

 The straps are much less padded than the Aether line, with Osprey opting for a smooth non-woven fabric sewn around the edge - totaling about 1/4" thick. The padding is also perforated to reduce weight and provide some ventilation. The ice pick / pole holding cinch is integrated into the left strap as well, with a secondary fixed loop on the main pack body. The cinch itself is hidden in the fabric of the strap, but is easy to pinch with two fingers

 As a technical pack, it appears to be designed for minimal external gear, which makes sense if you're mountaineering - keeps the load stabler.  I haven't included a lot of the more well-known features in this review as they're well covered in the description here and on Osprey's site.  COMFORT I found out after a day of hiking that there's a specific sequence to tightening the load securing straps. There are two on each side - a top one, which you can cinch down as tight as you like, and a bottom one which is secured about 2" into the hip belt

I initially cinched it all the way to get the load as compact as possible, and found that the hip belt kept slipping no matter how hard I tightened it. What happened is that that lower strap pulled the hip belt out so it couldn't wrap around my waist - there was a sizeable gap as the strap and hip belt worked against each other

 And next, the Stow on the Go feature for trekking poles. This is awesome. Makes it really easy to put your trekking poles away or take them out without having to stop and take your pack off. While I don't often use trekking poles on hikes, especially when I'm wrangling my two huskies, Luna and Kaya, what I have found it very useful for is my Gopro on my monopod

 For me, I like having the additional room and just having the versatility of one pack for short and long day hikes as well as quick overnighters. And it has these cinch down straps on the side where you can easily compress the load and just make it feel a lot smaller. And now, for what you've all been waiting for, the bonus features. First of all, I have to mention Osprey's almighty Guarantee

 I really feel like I can maximize the space without having that one dedicated area just for a sleeping bag. And the last thing I could think of that you might not like about this pack as a day pack is that it might be a little bit too big for shorter day hikes. For me, I like having the additional room and just having the versatility of one pack for short and long day hikes as well as quick overnighters. I got this as an upgrade from my Talon 33. I have only hiked about 20 miles with it but I already like it allot. The new zippered top design makes accessing items in the pack allot easier than the top flap on the Talon 33. It rides comfortably on the back with both a heavy and light load

Good fit and feel

Comfortable pack without a lot of wasted space or things wasted on weight. 36L is about the right size for a small overnight pack, or for a daypack -- especially if you are bringing lunch or carrying stuff for kids/animals/etc.  Comfortable and easy to adjust to fit.
