Nice value but dangerous for large hands

The curved handle gets caught on everything when bending down. Always gets hooked on my keys or pants if im kneeling down. And the tip is slightly bent after very minimal prying. Not very happy with it

Knife is sharp and holds an edge. Small and horizontal belt carry is nice. However the bolt that holds the clip on came loose and now I can’t use the belt clip.

  THIRD THING - And this one is a bit more minor, but also important... the sheath on the Le Duck is pretty fiddly

 yes they're a little more expensive... but you'll feel a huge sense of satisfaction for the money you spent every time you use the knife, because it's just right

 I urge you to take a look at the ESSE Izula II... they really know how to make knives there

 it's a nice idea to have a blade lock so the knife doesn't fall out... and it works well to lock in the knife

Nice idea BUT....

A small EDC knife with some unique features.

Other than the clip and slight difference in physical dimensions, as far as handle ergonomics goes, both are excellent. The only difference is that the LeDuck's handle is longer and can be used in the reverse grip when needed, not so with the Minimalist.

I personally prefer the sheath that comes with the LeDuck for 1) the aforementioned belt clip, and 2) the blade retention mechanism. The Minimalist's blade retention relies on a tight friction fitting, which is (perhaps more than) adequate for EDC purposes, but the LeDuck offers a better solution, in my opinion, by adding the locking cap.

I like the LeDuck a lot but took a star off on the rating for the could-be-better finish. The blackstone blade finish is nice and even but my copy has an uneven grind, which is okay since I often re-profile my knives. What makes me take off a star is that they should have rounded off the edges in the finger choil area a bit more to make it more comfortable for extensive use. I did that with a Dremel in 5 minutes but they could have done it at the factory

On blade steel, the LeDuck has a slight advantage by using 8Cr14MoV, as opposed to the Minimalist's 5Cr15MoV (the regular CRKT version; there are D2 versions available on exclusive editions of the Minimalist). But then again, the heat treatment likely determines the hardness of the blades more than the steel compositions.

This blade is a bargain for less than $25. But if you want belt carry , buy the Blade-Tech brand clip and get it right

I’d like to see outdoor edge and others offer more options for horizontal carry in price /quality/and options. I really think that these folks wanted a neck knife with a side of belt carry. Should not be marketed as belt carry! Terrible belt clip

 I like the thick belly design of the small blade and when carrying , you WILL NOT lose this knife as the provided locking mechanism is super effective. The 360 degree rotational belt clip is kind of cheesy and harkens back to old belt carried cell phone clips that broke all the time.
