These are Outemu Dustproof Blue switches, or a rebranded version of them. These are cheap switches, IMO they feel nice but I don’t like the sound personally. I would recommend you look for something with Kailh BOX whites, those have a similar weighting and tactility but they use a different mechanism to generate the click, it’s a pin spring that the slider moves over and it slams against the housing.

Does anyone know the name/brand of the switches? I really love the sound would love to but another keyboard with the same switches! (Redragon Right handed keyboard)

 Better than the blue switches I was replacing, but they are not what I ordered either.  Installing them was easy enough, though you do need to be careful about the pins. It's easy to flatten them out, but they can be straightened up again if you're careful.  I flattened out the pins on one of them putting it in, but still managed to salvage it by carefully straightening the pins

They sent me the wrong color switches.

It had outemu blue switches which I liked a lot but I would love to have a more tactile feeling and less sound for my next kb. I'm looking into cherry mx browns and gateron browns atm and I would be very happy if you could recommend some more. I also want a 90% keyboard but my biggest question here is if there are some out there with german layouts for the juicy öäü keys.

Hi, buying my first mech. And I think it's going to be a Vortex Tab 75 (with Bluetooth). I'm really afraid of the height of that keyboard. It's like 30mm tall. I've elevated my current keyboard to the same height and it feels so uncomfortable (I tend to rest my palms on the desk). 

* Are there any other Bluetooth 75-ish mechs that are not so - tall? (Keychron is even taller I believe)
* Or do you just get used to it / or buy a wrist pad?

I realized that what I've been trying to approximate my whole life is a good split keyboard.  For the longest time there weren't many options for split keyboards and the mechanical keyboards were way too loud.  It looks like in the ~10+ years since I looked at keyboards a lot has changed.

* Awesome typing experience
* No soldering (My equipment is cheap and I'm just not that good at it and don't have the time.  I'm fine compiling and messing with firmware though)
* Usage is 50% general typing, 25% programming, 25% gaming

* Easily swapped caps/switches for experimentation and customization
* Extra programmability
* Lighting (I'm a sucker for cool lights)

Recently my G13 broke and I started to look at replacements and I realized something: For the last two decades I've just wanted an ortholinear split keyboard.  15 years ago the only option was Kenesis or Goldtouch and they weren't that good/portable.  It looks like things have changed drastically since then and my eyes are opened to a whole new world.

Hi everyone,

After having spend a couple of days reading up on mechanical keyboards - and having destroyed and thrown out my old HyperX Alloy FPS Pro (I think it might have had Red Cherry MX), I am looking for a new keyboard - with much more feedback, and more force to push down buttons.

I have heavy fingers - and the 1 year I spend using the old keyboard made me have a million mis-clicks. I have a lot of finger-tics when I play (FPS games), and so I am looking for something that will not register a click just by looking at the buttons (I am getting frustrated just thinking about it as I type this post).

I find the options available on the market (pre-built) extremely confusing, and I have not been able to find a keyboard to match my preferences, which is;

1. **Priority**: Buttons that require more force to push down than my old HyperX Alloy FPS Pro (which I think had Red Cherry MX) so that I can avoid mis-clicks in the future.
2. **Priority:** Feedback on clicks needs to be greater to me. Sound is less of an issue to me - however, I would prefer it not to sound like a hammer on each click.
3. **NOT a priority:** Extra additions to keyboard, such as controlling sound, having a headset jack in the keyboard and so on. I just want the basics (keystrokes) to work.
4. **NOT a priority:** Money

Is there anyone who can help a mechanical-keyboard-rookie on selecting a great keyboard to fit those preferences? I am 100% unsure of everything, after having read up on things - I find the graphs, numbers (forces, mm to register, etc.) very confusing and not helpful at all.

If the Steelseries Apex Pro (TKL) was available, I might purchase that, but I am not sure I will need all of the features it has (I only find it interesting because it was the only keyboard where I could understand that you could tailor the force on the buttons). If there is an alternative, that works out of the box, providing me with more actuation force than my old keyboard, I'm all for it.

<p>After having spend a couple of days reading up on mechanical keyboards - and having destroyed and thrown out my old HyperX Alloy FPS Pro (I think it might have had Red Cherry MX), I am looking for a new keyboard - with much more feedback, and more force to push down buttons.</p>

<p>I have heavy fingers - and the 1 year I spend using the old keyboard made me have a million mis-clicks. I have a lot of finger-tics when I play (FPS games), and so I am looking for something that will not register a click just by looking at the buttons (I am getting frustrated just thinking about it as I type this post).</p>

<p>I find the options available on the market (pre-built) extremely confusing, and I have not been able to find a keyboard to match my preferences, which is;</p>

<ol>
<li><strong>Priority</strong>: Buttons that require more force to push down than my old HyperX Alloy FPS Pro (which I think had Red Cherry MX) so that I can avoid mis-clicks in the future.</li>
<li><strong>Priority:</strong> Feedback on clicks needs to be greater to me. Sound is less of an issue to me - however, I would prefer it not to sound like a hammer on each click.</li>
<li><strong>NOT a priority:</strong> Extra additions to keyboard, such as controlling sound, having a headset jack in the keyboard and so on. I just want the basics (keystrokes) to work.</li>
<li><strong>NOT a priority:</strong> Money</li>

I'm looking for a keyboard that will be an "end all be all" (as in I am not going to spend anymore money on keyboards for the forseeable future) and my choices have slimmed down to a Ducky one 2 mini and a Razer Huntsman TE. I am a casual gamer but I also type a lot. Which one should I get?

Does the ultimate PCB exist? 65% with arrow keys, rgb per key, underglow, hotswap, standard layout (no gk68 backspace placement, or the gk64 1u right shift). Closest I saw was the KBD67 v2 MII - but can't find a case. The Keychron K6 is available in Hotswap, but the case is horrendously high, and doesn't allow for underglow. Bought a Womier K66 which seems to check it all off but still hasnt been delivered 3months after buying :(

I bought one a couple weeks ago alongside some Durock T1 switches, lubrication kit, and switch films. Also got some 5g krytox 205g0 lube from ebay. Everything arrived except the board which I'm expecting will come in around a week, since I got yesterday the email that it was in my country. ^(The switches are so damn good, btw!)

I have been looking for quite a while for a TKL with Type-C (bonus points because this one has routing paths!) and low profile, and this one also has hotswap which is nice. But we'll see how's the quality. Kprepublic isn't bad at all usually as far as I can tell. The only other ones I found were the GMMK and the Drop CTRL which is out of budget, but since this one was on sale for under 50€ I decided to give it a try. Maybe I'll make a post when it arrives, else I'll just post an update here

Hey everyone! 

I'm interested at finally getting into the Mechanical keyboard game with a custom TKL. After searching for the past few days, the main one I found that fits all the requirements I'm looking at is the [Smart Duck XS87](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001331249547.html) from KPRepublic. However, I can't find anything abut it. Has anyone had any experience with this one in particular? Or any other TKL, programmable, hotswappable boards?

Hello guys!. So, i'm kinda new to pc gaming gear, and i'm looking for a good, not so expensive Gaming mechanical Keyboard, I had a PCYes Axion Outemu Blue (Brazilian brand, i'm brazilian) and within 6 months i already had failing keys, they're giving me a new one through RMA but honestly i'm gonna sell it, looks like a crappy brand and choice.

I want to buy a full size keyboard and I'm confused between Hyperx Alloy Elite 2 Hyperx Red Switches and Corsair K70 MK.2 MX Cherry Red Switches 
Both same prices.
I heard that Hyperx Switches is faster and better than the MX Cherry ones, and it has better RGB, but a lot of people suggested K70.
What's your opinion?
