Looking for a versatile pant which can (a) look good in the town / weekend trip to the office (b) resist stains, odors, and wrinkles for travel and (c) works in warmer weather. After too much research, I tried Outlier Futureworks.

For normal items like pants and shirts, Outlier does a good job keeping their core lineup in stock. Go on the website right now and you can find UFTs, SDs, StDs, ILPs, Strongdarts, Futureworks, all in nearly full size runs in multiple colors, months after they've dropped. If they wanted to grow faster and make more money, sure they might accomplish that faster by doing preorders and trying to satisfy everyone's demand. But I don't think making stacks on stacks of cash is Abe & co.'s primary goal; they seem more passionate about clothes than money.

Injected linen pants work ok as well since they are floaty summer pants and you can work with the inseam being a bit short. The old OG Climbers were great and had a 35.5 inch inseam, but they're gone now. All the darts and the futureworks are no-gos for me, too short. ​.

Meh with the bottoms -- Futureworks are boring. They'll be relegated to bartending duty or maybe sold on /r/outliermarket (if anyone will even buy them).

Any of the outlier F-Cloth pants are pretty good (I like the Futureworks) because the material actually looks and feels more like traditional fabric. I also found Rag & Bone flyweight chinos are great in hotter weather -- cotton/nylon and usually on sale for about $100. I also have a pair of lightweight cotton/linen J-Brand jeans that are awesome in hot weather, but I don't think they're made any more. There might be some other cotton/linen options out there though, and lightweight fabric made from natural fibers will always breathe far better than any synthetic fabric in my experience.

None of them were perfect, but the Futureworks were the stiffest and felt the least breathable. Outlier's return policy, however, was great, so why not just try them?

I've only worn the Outlier Futureworks (F.Cloth) and Lululemon's ABC Joggers (Warpstream). The Warpstream feels cool and sometimes slippery compared to the F.Cloth. I wouldn't describe F.Cloth as rough, but you can definitely feel some texture when it's tight against your skin.
