It's lightweight can travel well because it's lightweight it's grime and dirt resistant.

Or at least pants you wear outdoors, the Slim Dungarees are just not a pair of pants built for a zoom-only world. For a few months it looked like we could just stop making these things, but luckily as summer kicked in they warmed back up a bit. The numbers are still pure chaos which makes predicting how many to make pure hell but hey they are alive. The Workdarts were mostly a Hail Mary, if the Slim Dungarees were done what on earth would we do with all the Workcloth we were committed to?

Then I wore them without the base layer on a short Yosemite day hike and on a longer summit near Lake Tahoe (8500’/2600m); temps were in the 40s-50s ˚F (5-15˚C) for both of those. They worked well in all those temp ranges. I haven’t added any wax to mine, choosing breathability over waterproofness since it’s dry here in southern California. The fit is fantastic above the knees, very comfortable with a low rise.

In for two this time. For those who aren't familiar, Outlier is known for its well-cut pants in technical fabrics, like a better version of Lululemon's ABC pants, but makes a variety of other pieces of tech-oriented clothing. I've worn a pair of Slim Dungarees on every backpacking trip I've been on for the last seven years and they're still in good shape. Some of my favorite pants for everyday wear as well.

The rear pockets are great, tight not baggy (outlier slim dungarees I’m looking at you here!). Odours has not been an issue – I’ve washed them because they go dirty from dog paw prints and me doing gardening in them – not because of odours.

I ordered a size 29 but Outlier accidentally sent me a size 28 that ended up being Slim Dungarees. After contacting customer service, they immediately dispatched a second pair while allowing me to keep the size 28 they sent me in error. The second WTF pair ended up being New Way Shorts! Just wanted to put this out there in case it happened to anybody.

Also when they are completely ratcheted open, they might have a tendency to stick open on the first notch if not angled properly. That being said, I really enjoy this piece and will definitely be wearing this heavily throughout this fall. While I have yet to test it in the spring or winter, between the breathability of the fabric and the layering ability, I have a feeling that I’ll reaching this quite frequently no matter the season.

They’re a great pant with nylon-poly inner, and—to me—they feel pajama-like. Of course, this is all subjective + the answer varies based on proposed use case. With that said, I have no qualms about labeling Slim Dungarees as Outlier’s most comfortable pant for now.
