Panasonic NN-SD975S Microwave Oven With Cyclonic Wave Inverter Technology For Our Kitchen

 I found that this Panasonic Microwave will trip the breaker repeatedly and reliably at the same time point for the same Microwave Power Setting and what I'm trying to heat. Lowering the power level will enable it to heat smaller quantities without tripping the AFCI. Knowing this is great, but why should I need to be aware when I'm trying to heat typically microwaved food and drink???  After much reading, I determined that this situation might be helped by putting a surge suppressor with EMI/RF filtering. One source suggested that the surge suppressor needed to reduce by 70 decibels the power transient frequencies of 100kHz to 1 MHz

 While AFCI can detect electrical arcing that can cause a house fire, and is required throughout the U.S. by the 2014 electrical code, the current crop of breakers is also somewhat trigger happy, detecting an arc when in fact it's just the wildly changing current consumption of a kitchen appliance. If the microwave oven's power supply doesn't take into account the AFCI and smooth out its power consumption, it'll trip the breaker

 You shouldn't have to plug it in to a high-end surge suppressor power filter to get it to work as expected.

 Your results can be a bit uneven. You often get dry, overcooked, edges or cold spots in the middle. Until now, now Panasonic introduces a unique combination of technologies to defrost cook and reheat.   ** Accessing the POWER LEVEL FUNCTION was very inefficient. On my old microwave if you wanted to cook something for 2 minutes at 1/2 power you pressed  TIME + 2 + 0 + 0 + POWER + 5 + START.  On this new PANASONIC microwave if you want to do the same thing you have to press  POWER (100%) + POWER (90%) + POWER (80%) + POWER (70%) + POWER (60%) + POWER (50%) + TIME + 2 + 0 + 0 + START  Old = 7 buttons vs New = 11 buttons. Old wins

I had a 2015 Panasonic microwave with inverter technology which I really liked, but it burned out when the air flow was accidentally blocked. I looked for a similar Panasonic to replace it with, and settled on this one. We like to have multiple dishes in the microwave at once, or to be able to reheat a whole casserole dish without having to divide it into smaller containers first, so the large size is perfect for us.  There are only two things I have not liked when compared to our old one: 1) The interior light is dim. At some point, Panasonic switched from a regular interior light bulb to an LED light, and they should have put in a much brighter LED fixture. I have to turn out the kitchen lights if I want to see how something inside the microwave is cooking. 2) My other complaint is that there is no visual indicator of the power level that you selected

 If you're like me, you'll be staring at your food cooking wondering, "Did I remember to set the right power level?" And let the reader be warned: I don't use the pre-programmed sensor cooking features, so I can't say how accurate they are. When sensor cooking was a new technology, I found that it was always under- or over-cooking my food, and I got used to just eyeballing my cooking times.
