 And the outside of the hoodie is made for durability and will protect you from getting wet with water repellent finish. The fabric is also blue sign approved, which after a bit of research I discovered means that this fabric has the highest level of consumer safety by managing the chemicals, dyes, and finishes used in the process of making this product. The hood is described as an under the helmet hood

 I'm wearing a size small, though I do feel like I could have gotten away with an extra small. It's 5'6", 120 pounds, and I will leave my measurements for reference in the description below. I'm easily able to wear this hoodie with additional layers underneath and still have room for more, so I recommend keeping this in mind depending on how you want this piece to fit. Patagonia R2 TechFace Hoody Review

So, I'm a hoodie-wearer. I have a hatred of sleeved shirts (I sweat excessively so I can't do anything tight on the armpits that I can't escape from). My go-to year round is to wear a tank top with a zipped hoodie that I can take on and off as needed. I won't do pullovers and I don't really like buttons.

Normally I just wear a regular $20 zipped classic hoodie but I think I'm ready to upgrade to something that looks a little nicer.

Any suggestions for something I can get away with wearing in a variety of settings and won't be wrecked in two weeks because I'm a sweaty beast? I'm not super stylish but I don't want to look like a bum either, most of the time I'm in shorts/black jeans or maybe a [boho skirt](https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/923185683/hippies-boho-clothing-long-bohemian-maxi?ref=landingpage_similar_listing_top-1).

 Since I sweat a lot in general and I'm often walking or hiking, I'm leaning towards something that's more "activewear". I just don't want anything too tight on the arms and I really prefer a more cottony feel, but I don't want it to smell like sweat in a week either.

A stylish but workout-appropriate medium-weight one-hoodie? (Canada)

  The chest pocket works great for wearing with my backpacks while hiking and backpacking. The high collar is great at keeping the wind at bay, but is a little looser than I would prefer. When wearing the jacket in high intensity activity while in the colder temps, I end up coupling it with a neck gaiter because the collar is loose enough to let that cold wind down to my neck.  Overall, the jacket is stylish, comfortable, warm, and breathable

Hi, so I shredded through the back of my Patagonia Micro Puff jacket with my 1000D Cordura Goruck bag (I had heard about 1000D shredding sweaters and t-shirts but strangely enough all my t-shirts and sweaters are fine, only my Micro Puff was damaged) and I’m wanting to find another one-jacket for cold weather that comes in black and is more durable than the Micro Puff.
Any ideas or recommendations? Ideally that take up the same amount of space when packed or not much more? I will be wearing a waffled fleece sweater and short sleeve t-shirt underneath it. And a shell over it. Temperature range down to -20C, which while not the most pleasant was bearable with the Micro Puff as long as I had a shell over it and wore a good scarf and gloves.
