 A super tiny feature that we've noticed and appreciated is the tag tag end on the strap is turned up, so it doesn't slip out of the elastic we've tested other sling bags that have an elastic keeper. If I can show you that other sling bags that have an elastic keeper, but it just slips right over the end of the strap, so it's kind of useless this one stays really nice. You know, we've yanked pulled it around their shoulders a bunch of times, and it always stays on so really appreciate that little feature just a nice, tiny design thing I wanted to point out and then finally, on the strap, you got two loops. One of them's got that Patagonian Mountain Range logo, which is really nice

 It is pretty long and there's an interesting shape to it. So it's kind of wider up here at the top by the by the bag itself and it's thins out in the middle and gets wider again kind of towards the bottom. What would be more like lower chest and you've got this thing slung across you, and it's actually been pretty comfortable at first. The design seemed a little odd, but it works pretty well the where it's thinner in the middle tends to ride up so it'd be more on your shoulder, which, which still still feels pretty comfortable

 Pockets is nice. We got some nice zipper is with a little bit of cord zipper pull matches. The bag works well to grab so up front. You'Ve got a you know, medium size, sort of pocket, we've been using it for things like wallet, maybe if you're taking the dogs for a walk, you want to throw some some dog bags in there just so they're, not so they're easy to get to

 Here. We'Ve got a buckle that just buckles and unbuckles the strap, which is actually pretty cool. If you want to get in and out of the bag quickly, instead of having to like work it over your head, you can just pop off the strap and drop it and you're good to go, which we've actually used a few times and it works well. There'S also a little elastic, strap keeper here for that dangled free experience, which has worked really well in testing

Oh wise denizens of manybaggers. 

I've been looking at a couple but can't really find what I'm looking for.

Mystery Ranch Full Moon - Looks like a great bag but I would need a bit more organisation and the buckle in the middle of the strap feels like it would be better used as a hip pack than sling. And the loose webbing (from what I understand there is no way to tidy it up) would most likely drive me slightly crazy.

Patagonia Black hole 5l waist pack - I love Patagonia but this one seems to be better used as a hip pack then sling as well? 

Aer Day Sling 2 - Not sure about the placement of the strap, you can't really wear it over one shoulder? And it's a bit pricier and nice looking than I would like to spend on a sling that's mostly for hiking with a dog. 

Sierra Design Flex Lumbar - Looks pretty functional for my needs, but the design is a too outdoorsy for my taste. 

Any other suggestions? 

I would need to fit 500ml water bottle, packable jacket, a tennis ball, leatherman wave, phone, wallet, leash and some other bits and bobs.

I've been trying to find a cross body, sling/fanny pack type bag as small as possible to hold the following:


* Leica Q2 w/ hood
* Nitecore Battery charger w/ extra battery attached
* Wallet, keys, hand sanitizer, extra mask, etc.
* Phone, battery bank
and if possible:
* 13" tablet/laptop
* 20oz water bottle

Right now I use a old Crumpler messenger bag (Barney Rustle Blanket) with a small padded insert (Ape Case Cubeze 33) for the Q2+charger+battery bank but the Crumpler bag is a bit too big, and things jumble around inside of it since basically one big pocket.

The other bags I've tried:

* ThinkTank Turnstyle Sling 5 (didn't like all the velcro)
* Hex Ranger DSLR Mini Sling (strap not long enough)
* Peak Design Sling 6L (too big)
* Patagonia Atom Sling 8L w/ Ape Case Cubeze 33 modular insert (works ok)

Anyone know of a good bag for this stuff? (Camera + other things)

First, we want to note that the Patagonia Ultralight Black Hole Sling 8L compresses into one of its pockets. So you can stash it away for later use (either inside a larger travel bag or for storage at home). When it’s all packed, you’ll see a picture of what the sling looks like as well as the Patagonia logo in white lettering on the outside. And on top of the pouch is a strap that you can hook through a loop to operate as a handle to carry with or hang it by

 Since you’re not wearing the bag crossbody, you have to hook your thumb in the strap to keep it secure—like a late 90s backpack-strap-over-one-shoulder vibe. It kind of works, but we wouldn’t recommend carrying it this way for long distances. 

Wrapping up materials, you’ll find some YKK zippers on here with corded zipper pulls that match the color of the bag—the pulls are easy to grab and everything has been working smoothly in our testing so far. 

On the front of the strap is a mesh sleeve with elastic at the top that fits an iPhone XS like a glove—so it should work for most smartphones. And when you do have your phone in here, we’ve found it almost acts as a counterweight to balance out the load in your bag and give you a more even carry.
