 Without the instruction manual in your lap, you just aren't going to intuitively figure it out. Don't get me started on how to turn the radio off besides just turning the volume to 0.  I wish Philips can get with the times, and enable this with Alexa where I can tell my light what time I want it to wake me up and it makes it so, or plug into my iPhone and allow me to use practical buttons to program what I want the light to do. Whomever did the industrial design should probably go back to school, or Philips needs to stop using interns for their design work

 As I titled my review summary, this product does indeed work as intended. I have been used to waking up to the sound of a buzzing alarm clock for years-even so, I was excited about an opportunity to wake up and not feel exhausted from hitting snooze on the alarm excessively and finally forcing myself out of bed. From the first day, I immediately noticed a difference with how I felt waking up with this lamp.

Works as Intended

 But when it comes to actually using the thing, it comes up short. First, be aware that this thing is huge. It will take up quite the footprint on your nightstand. I suppose the size is warranted, however, because you will be reaching for it in a groggy state

Great Idea, Middling Performance, Too Expensive

I wish Phillips would re-design this and up the brightness to a full 10,000 lux sunrise lamp -- perhaps floorstanding -- still with the warm color change of this product. When fully on, I'd want the light to look like sunlight (not blue) and Phillips needs to completely redesign the control interface -- either by putting an old-fashioned radio-alarm button layout on the base of the unit if it's a table-top unit, or if it's a floor-standing unit then perhaps a wireless connection to a remote or iPhone alarm clock -- those are really easy to set and use.)
