 The dual linear rails seem chunky and firm. The appearance and width alone suggest stability. There's certainly no wobble here that I've seen. The bull plate also seems chunky

 And I know, right now, many of you will be screaming at me, how does it compare with the Anycubic Photon Ultra DLP? But all I can say at this moment in time is, well, that's not an easy call to make. I need more time to compare for you guys and I will do that. However, regardless of that outcome, I have to say that this is the best printing LCD printer I have personally come across, able to produce excellent quality prints on a home grade printer. In essence it's a real winner and a new standard for others to attain

 And this, in essence, should mean the best quality prints we've seen at this end of the printer market. So I was genuinely excited to get printing with the Mini 8K, but fate had other ideas. When I performed the LCD test, something didn't look right. Adding a piece of paper made this even worse and broke my little nerdy heart

 And first impressions are very good. It's a nice sturdy looking printer. The base is quite weighty and solid. The menu screen isn't the biggest I've seen, but it's far from the smallest and it's clear and easy to use

We are okay starting out with a small print volume, and we both think we will prefer resin, since nice results are worth the extra precautions and effort. If you are new to 3D printing, and are unsure of what to ask, try to include the following in your posts as a minimum:

* Your budget, set at a numeric amount. Saying "cheap," or "money is not a problem" is not an answer people can do much with. 3D printers can cost $100, they can cost $10,000,000, and anywhere in between. A rough idea of what you're looking for is essential to figuring out anything else.
* Your country of residence.
* If you are willing to build the printer from a kit, and what your level of experience is with electronic maintenance and construction if so.
* What you wish to do with the printer.
* Any extenuating circumstances that would restrict you from using machines that would otherwise fit your needs (limited space for the printer, enclosure requirement, must be purchased through educational intermediary, etc).

While this is by no means an exhaustive list of what can be included in your posts, these questions should help paint enough of a picture to get started. Don't be afraid to ask more questions, and never worry about asking too many. The people posting in this thread are here because they want to give advice, and any questions you have answered may be useful to others later on, when they read through this thread looking for answers of their own. Everyone here was new once, so chances are whoever is replying to you has a good idea of how you feel currently.

Additionally, a quick word on print quality: Most FDM/FFF (that is, filament based) printers are capable of approximately the same tolerances and print appearance, as the biggest limiting factor is in the nature of extruded plastic. **Asking if a machine has "good prints," or saying "I don't expect the best quality for $xxx" isn't actually relevant for the most part** with regards to these machines. Should you need additional detail and higher tolerances, you may want to explore SLA, DLP, and other photoresin options, as those *do* offer an increase in overall quality. If you are interested in resin machines, make sure you are aware of [how to use them safely](https://www.reddit.com/r/3DPrinting/wiki/resinprinting#wiki_safety). For these safety reasons we don't usually recommend a resin printer as someone's first printer.

Purchase Advice Megathread: What To Buy, Who To Buy It From, And More, In September 2021

 Do not expect to produce stunning models on day one. There is much to learn, but the results are well worth it.

 Know this before you delve in.  The printer itself is very well built, and it most certainly feels premium. The display is tiny, but is clear and easy to read. The build plate is all metal, and offers excellent adhesion

 With my FDM printer, I was able to setup the printer and print my first model within an hour. With resin printing, I first had to source all of the other required components before I was able to begin printing models. Know this before you delve in.  The printer itself is very well built, and it most certainly feels premium

Absolutely Stunning Results. Even For A Beginner.

 So guys, I've really enjoyed playing with this printer. Out the box, their settings, their printer, temperature of the room is very, very good. It printed very successfully. What I like about this printer as well is they don't dial in stupid lift speeds

 So the extra resolution, being able to print a lot lower layer height, it makes up for it, and I'm not going to lie, I wasn't really convinced in the resolution, and to say this is out of the box settings, all them little extra bits of detail do add up. So Frozone, you've converted me, your printer is literally the best printer I have played with to date as far as quality of the printer and quality of the print. It's not all hearsay on the internet. It is a very, very good printer

 I'm not going to make any money off this. You get a bottle of resin free if you buy the printer with the link below and 10% off. If I'd not had this printer, I'd still say the models that I'm printing on my IB and my Harlot Sky was as best as it could be, but after seeing this, the extra resolution does matter, and I'm going to take it home now. I'm going to have a real play with it over Christmas, and I'm going to print my entire new army on it for next year, so you can see some cool videos of me building a new army for my favorite systems

Defective Screen

 Buy a screen protector for the LCD. You will have accidents, from spills, of the FEP leaking. It will be a life saver to have a protector

Check to make sure the mirror is still attached.

 I then placed it under a DIY UV curing light that I had built previously and rotated it every few minutes to let it cure a bit more on all sides.  Coming from FDM, let me just say that the quality and resolution of this print is unbelievable. The detail is beyond anything I could have ever hoped for. If you are printing miniatures or models that need fine detail, this is definitely the way to go

Beautiful prints, nice machine, just be prepared with everything else you need.
