 Again, another nice solid one, pretty straight, just turning a touch, and we see there, carry 274, total 296, just under 109 club speed and 161 ball speed. Right, one more big one. Not sure I've got it in the locker today for that maximum distance, and maybe part of the reason this is so accurate, is maybe there is a little bit of sacrifice of distance, but let's see, one final one, see if we can get it really out there. Again, another solid one, maybe a touch low on the face feeling-wise, but 268 carry, 293 total, club head speed at 110, so certainly where I would like to be as a more average, but for today me going after it, but all in all, pretty good numbers

 And we can see that's almost like hitting the ground running from last week, isn't it? So what I need to be able to do is generate a little bit more clubhead speed, maybe hit up a little bit more. So I'm going to talk you through the kind of ideas I would have to do that. So from my set-up position, I'm not really going to change too much at set-up, but as I go into my backswing, I'm going to make sure that lead heel comes off the ground. It's going to allow me to make a bigger turn on the way back, and then as I get that lead foot down, coming down into impact, I'm actually going to feel like I push into the ground but away from the ball, so it'll almost be a little bit of a, look like a jump away from the golf ball

 So, like I said, it's G425 Max, weight in the toe, down a degree in flat setting with the TSI Orange X-Flex shaft. So let's go just one, see if it's still nice and straight. And we can see that's almost like hitting the ground running from last week, isn't it? So what I need to be able to do is generate a little bit more clubhead speed, maybe hit up a little bit more. So I'm going to talk you through the kind of ideas I would have to do that

Is the Ping G425 Max the best driver of 2021? Well last week Ali showed that it was the most accurate driver he has ever tested but can he combine hitting the ball longer and still be accurate? If so it just might be the perfect and best driver ever.

 The one thing with the, oh better tell you, there's three heads as there was it last year. We've got the Max which we've got here, we've got the LS Tech and we've got the SF Tech. Max is going to suit a lot of golfers. You've got the adjustable weights at the back here, this is a 26 gram tungsten weight

 Value for money at £399 compared to its competitors. I guess I've got to give it another 9. Is 9 too generous or should I give it 8? £399. Let's just think about that

 Move it this way for sort of a fade bias, move it this way for a draw bias. You've then got your SF Tech which has a big chunk of weight down in the heel of the club. Great for the right-handed golfer who tends to leak the ball to the right or has a bit of a slice that can counteract it. Won't cure it but it will counteract it

Upgraded my Callaway Edge (Costco) driver to an Epic Max on sale from Callaway Preowned and added 15 yards to my drives overnight! Same loft (10.5) and flex (R).

 So Max to get us going then initial looks really, really nice. I loved the look of the old Max version of the 400 and I was a little bit disappointed in the G410 when they sort of reduced the size of it, but initial looks for this particular model really, really like it. But first out the bat with that noise, that is loud. That is quite loud

 I've got three different model heads here to test today. We've got the standard Max, we've got the LS Tech, and we've got the SF Tech to test out. Now we're going to be diving into what these drivers are all about. We're going to be getting some numbers, we're going to take them onto the golf course and test them

 Got so much more content to come your way, but let's get out and hit these clubs. So first impressions looking down at the drivers are really, really quite nice and very Ping-esque. Should we say that we've seen over the last sort of few years, the last few models from them. Now the SF Tech and the standard Max version, there's nothing in it

 Now the LST, that one didn't shake much at all. It went flying up into the trees here, so I didn't get that thing to move as much as what I wanted to, which is actually quite a surprise. I thought I'd get a little bit more of a shake from the LS Tech than I would from the other two drivers. So we've come out onto the sixth hole here on the Kigbeard course, and I'm going to do a sort of a run of a few holes now hitting these drivers, but these are properly tight holes

 I love the fact that they've gone to that bigger profile of head from the sort of 410 that they had in the last couple of years. If I was someone that was looking to hit fairways, that SF Tech absolutely works really, really well. The LS Tech, however, for me personally was just that little bit more uncontrollable when I put it on the golf course. But what I did like about it on the golf course is the SF Tech

The LST 445 model is the low spin option where as the SFT 460 gives you straighter drives and can offset that ugly slice shot that many want to reduce or loose altogether.

 And I really do feel like this is probably one of the straightest drivers I've hit. And with the ability to move the weight in the back of the club, I saw a bigger variance in shot shape going from the draw bias to the fade bias than I have in previous models. And this back weight is a good intro into the technology that goes into the G425 Max. Has anyone tried the Bryson fat grips or thicker grips in general?  How has it affected your swing or striking?  I feel I can grip too strong with the standard grips and might consider moving to thicker grips if it seems like others have had positive experiences.
