I purchased the PreSonus Eris E3.5 BT because I was looking for a budget set of speakers for work. I like the way they sound, but I didn't realize how much I was going to miss the low end. I love how they can be connected to two inputs (one over Bluetooth) and it'll mix them together. I'm trying to figure out where to go from here.

First of all, I think it's important to state my usage: I bought these for my desktop - Music, gaming, youtube etc.. I don't edit or create music/videos. After 1 day of usage: Build: Decent. I would get the PreSonus Eris E3.5 ($99) and a Sony or Panasonic player with the rest of the budget. The rationale being that, with that budget you have much more to gain from getting decent speakers than from a better source.

I'm coming from a 2.1 system, so anything I have to say about the bass being kind of thin, just remember I'm used to having a subwoofer. That said: The bass is kinda thin. I’d look into the Presonus Eris series and the most expensive set you can afford.

If you can save up I highly recommend the iLoud Micro Monitors. Superb performance at that price point and size.

This would be an amazing set of powered speakers if only there was not constant, audible white noise. The problem gets worse when a bluetooth device is paired, it goes from just white noise to another, crunchier sound that can easily be heard from several feet away. Looks 9/10 Materials 7/10 Sound quality 8/10 Bass 7/10 Volume 8/10 Setup 6/10 The sound quality is pretty decent until you go up in volume - it seems a little weak on top and bottom at the highest volume levels. Overall bass is not bad, but not spectacular. I wonder how accurate the sound really is....
