I found my endgame!

The MM731 left me wanting something similar in shape but without the wireless wonky performance that it was having and then I saw Pzogel's on the Xlite Wireless which pretty much instantly sold it for me. As he found, it has amazing wireless performance right up there with Logitech and they implemented the 3370 pretty much as perfect as can be... feels super nice to me coming from using mostly 3389 wired mice. Price is already very good compared to other options on the market and if you can catch a sale on that it would be an absolute steal.
