 Alright. So this is the new Death Adder V, a $ 69 Mouse that is perfect for the mainstream in 2020. First, it's almost half the weight of the original and I'm kind of glad they didn't reduce the weight any further, because the Death Adder is a pretty large Mouse and anything lighter would just feel weird. While the Guild Wars from 2007 is a heavy weight in comparison

 The surface coating has improved to include the rubberized texture on the side, grips versus the glossy sides on the original, and I am quite impressed at the state of the mat rubberized coating on this guild wars edition after more than a decade of use and I'm actually Hoping for a return of this like dual tone: color variations in the future mice, because the plain black is just getting bland and I get that RGB customization is here, but I wish that Razer would have a bit more fun with textures and colors. The v2 also has some of the best my switches around using optical switches, so debounce delay is non-existent and 70million lifespan will outlive the two year warranty they sound better, they feel better and it's exactly what you'd expect in 2020 and by the way, those sight browser Buttons are still quite chunky with a similar profile or dpi switch at the bottom and two additional buttons behind a school wheel on the v2. Perhaps the only other similar element between the original and the v2 would be the scroll wheel. The design, of course, is different and the v2 has more tactility and control, but they feel very alike, light scroll steps, excellent middle-click and a super low profile

 The side buttons are large which is a favorite for me; and the position of the side buttons is perfect. Right on the middle of the curve where the thumb rests, easy to press both front and back without moving your hand. The comfort curves in the left and right click are a funky design but it feels good because it spreads your hand out more. The ergonomic shape is a bit weird to get used to at first due to the slick feeling matte finish and big drop off on the right side of the mouse

Kind of hard to grip when you pick it up, but they added a rubber grip to the side to help. I don't use the DPI switches in the middle, I have the program ( Razer synapse) set to only 400 dpi

Great gaming mouse for large hands.

  First, the mousewheel scroll stopped responding. At some point, the plastic cog end of the axle had chewed its own threads off inside the tick counter, requiring me to disassemble the mouse, mash flat the end of the axle with pliers, and mush it back in. This solved this particular issue for both mice.  Now, they've both developed a squeak in the mouse scroll

Good sensor and feel for price. Atrocious middle mouse button and chassis design.

Good All-purpose Mouse

 I was so baffled by the lack of something so basic that I contacted Razer's support to confirm it was true, and they did.  I replaced it with a SteelSeries Rival 310 for $10 less. Similar sensor, better hand shape, and it actually has onboard memory that stores lighting profiles.

I really liked this mouse.
