I know you can’t get rid of pores but I’m wondering is there anyway to make them smaller? I use La Roche Posay products. They keep my acne mostly at bay but I feel like my pores are just so large. Part of it is genetic, but just wondering if there’s anything else I can do at home to help. Thanks!

I took this backpack on a one-night trip in the Catskills in New York. I wanted to like this pack, the number of features for the price is amazing. However this pack carried really heavy compared to my friend's Osprey Ariel, we had a pretty comparable load as well. I decided to return this bag and am looking at getting an Osprey as well

Carried very heavy

Used for a 5 day backpacking trip. Fit my gear nicely, but the straps killed my shoulders. Tried different adjustments, but alway felt uncomfortable or pain.

Okay

-The pack is big (I have the medium, but the capacity will vary depending on the size you order). I easily fit enough gear for a solo weekend trip. It would work great for a longer trip where you can split up some of the gear/food with buddies, but might be overkill for shorter trips (though there are lots of options for cinching the bag down for smaller loads). Also, when fully packed, the pack is kind of lumpy and round instead of the sleeker shape of some other packs

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this pack. I am by no means an ultralight backpacker, and am willing to trade weight for creature comforts and this bag is large enough to fit all my gear and has a lot of useful features. Some of my favorite things about the pack:

-I like the straps on the bottom for carrying a foam pad outside of the pack. I was also happy to discover that these were removable since I don't always bring a foam pad. 

Big pack for big adventures

 No reason to go for a more expensive brand name. My green pack (who I nicknamed Kermit), trekked with me all the way from Springer to Katahdin, and I’m excited to take him on another adventure soon!

 I washed it in the middle of my hike and it held up great. Really the only downside is the weight of the pack, but if you don’t care about base weight or are going for a shorter trip, this pack is awesome. No reason to go for a more expensive brand name. My green pack (who I nicknamed Kermit), trekked with me all the way from Springer to Katahdin, and I’m excited to take him on another adventure soon!

I spent months trying to find the “perfect” pack for my thruhike and this ended up being the most comfortable and ticked almost all my boxes (except for its weight). This pack fit all of my gear, carried the weight well, and didn’t bruise my hips or dig in at all. The adjustable waist strap was great when I lost a little weight. Loved the angled water bottle pockets, and the hip belt pockets fit lots of snacks

Thruhiked the AT with this pack!

 The padding was adequate and the hip belt helpful, albeit a bit stiff and bulky (it sticks out more than I'm used to, although this will likely soften with additional use/over time). I've had a smaller version of this pack in the past, and the smaller version is best for day or weekend hikes. This definitely has more room but it comes at the cost of the additional heft and slightly reduced mobility in the head/neck area, so I'd only use it when needing it for longer trips. Overall, however, it's a solid 4-star pack

 I would like the shoulder straps to be a bit longer--the hit at my armpits, a common problem for large busted women. But this pack is designed well. The angled water bottle pockets are the best. However, the elimination of the lumbar pad (found in the old Traverse) resulted in the pack dragging down on my shoulders

I love that REI finally realized short, curvy women hike too. The xs torso and medium hip belt option is awesome. I would like the shoulder straps to be a bit longer--the hit at my armpits, a common problem for large busted women. But this pack is designed well

 Shoulder straps are comfortable, well-padded, curved to fit ergonomically and is covered with a breathable mesh material. Similar mesh back panel allowed for good ventilaton. There is a small whistle on the sternum strap that I've come to love on almost every pack I've ever owned. Hip belt distributed the weight comfortably

I am very pleased with my new pack and look forward to covering new ground with it. My last trip was hiking in the Balkans. This pack would have been perfect!

 The torso fit process was easy to dial into exactly where I'd like it. There is an internal frame with a built-in, easy to adjust shoulder straps suspension system. Shoulder straps are comfortable, well-padded, curved to fit ergonomically and is covered with a breathable mesh material. Similar mesh back panel allowed for good ventilaton

Lots of great features that are new to me!

 I'm not into tiny day packs (rather just use my whole pack) and you can't remove the summit pack straps. For someone else this feature might be a plus, but I'd rather they weren't there. 

My biggest praise of this pack is that I simply forget I'm wearing it most of the time. It's comfortable. I've had it loaded with climbing gear, or just a few things for a ski, and I forget that it's even there. 

 I really like the pack-mod strap system it has, basically you can add/remove/reconfigure all the straps (side straps, sleeping pad straps, etc.) I absolutely love this because I don't like a lot of extra straps, so I can remove what I don't want. If I'm climbing and I want no straps, I can remove them all. If I'm working and I have to strap a lot to my pack, I can easily put them back on

This pack is super

 After some careful fitting and education by the REI store rep, I conditioned for a trip on the Colorado Trail and found this pack easy to load correctly, adjust to my frame, and continued to find new features, even when we were out on the CT! My ONLY gripe is I found the shoulder straps difficult to adjust on my own and usually had to have another person in our group tug them for me. We got some rain and the raincover was easy to get to and install. I tried a couple packs that were much more expensive and this one had better features, and, in my case, didn't fit as well. I had this somewhat overloaded at the start of the trip and was worried about seams ripping, but everything held strong and after a week out, it looks like new!
