There are a couple other differences between the performance and high-end builds...idk about the wheels, but they seem similar. The brakes, I've never ridden maguras but SRAM Code RSCs with 200 rotors front and rear will give you all the stopping power you need, and probably be easier to find parts for in the US. edit: that said, /u/Unlikely_Aerie_4687 's recommendation of a Rocky Mountain altitude is great too. I picked up a used alloy one last fall, and while I didn't have a chance to ride it much before the snow fell, it seems to be a fantastic bike.

It's not just about the travel. Some bikes with a lot of travel can be very well designed and feel like they have less travel when on more mellow tracks and climbs (it's one of the reasons I bought my Rocky Altitude, an enduro bike that is lightweight and nimble enough to feel like an all-mountain bike and still make mellower trails fun - see the pinkbike review).

Rocky mountain altitude. The pre 2021 models are on sale and still pretty available and since they are 160/150 instead of 170/160 it would fit your requirements better. I rode my 2018 altitude on pretty much everything. I have ridden it on flowy jump trails were it feels awesome it just feels like a trail bike there super poppy and easy to flick around but i have also sent it down 5m drops and dh tracks like the world cup track in mont saint anne.

I rode a lot of park on my Rocky Mountain Altitude (enduro) and it was really hard on the wallet, I’m not sure if I just didn’t maintain it properly but I was constantly having to repair it and all the repair costs added up to be worth more than the bike itself after just two bike park seasons. I bought a Specialized Demo 5 DH last year after bike park season and started using it all of this season. Only had to get it repaired twice (rear shifter cable snapped twice somehow lol) and replaced the brake pads once. If you’re going to be riding park for the majority of your time riding, I’d get a DH.

Scott womens line use mens frame and just adjust the contact points for women. I now also have a Large Rocky Mountain Altitude, I kept the seat but cut the handle bars, just a bit (would go more but I’m nice and kept them decent for my husband to be able to borrow my bike as well!) I honestly don’t notice a difference in mens and womens specific seats for mtb.
