It's improved. My bench significantly, alright guys that's my review on the rogue fitness thompson fat pad. I think this thing is a 10 out of 10

I was hoping it would have a grippy surface like that of the Thompson Fat/Comp pad (I have two comp fat pads from Rogue and love them). I incorrectly assumed "textured" meant, "grippy." It's nothing like that. In my experience, this pad is no more grippy than the standard vinyl pad that comes on the AB 2.0.

Got my Rogue Monster flat bench with Thompson Fat Pad this week. It is above and beyond nicer than the rep FB-5050 I had a couple years ago. The rep bench is fine but this sucker is way more stout, insanely so.

This "lobby" system (even logging in 30 minutes prior to the reopening of the site per their guidance) queued me up in the **EIGHT THOUSAND RANGE**... I was hoping to grab their FB-5000 with Wide Pad @ $169, but all benches but the standard competition were of course sold out (as were the Wide Pads as an accessory item). Was following Rep's site for a Wide Pad for weeks & gave up when Rogue notified me of Thompson Fat Pad restock (which cost me $206.42 w/ shipping). Ironic, considering I was looking to Rep for the highly rated "value bench" vs picking up a Monster Utility Bench 2.0 ($275 shorty + $50 for Thompson Fat Pad Upgrade + $35 for the handle) + Rogue's Shipping costs (which likely would've run just around $440 after tax/s&h).

However, I felt more stable on this bench doing heavy BB bench than I did on prior adjustable benches that were wider. Rogue Monster Utility Bench w/Thompson Fat Pad - I cannot comprehend how you could make a better flat bench. It is built like a tank, easy to move around, and solid as it gets.
