 Now that's really cool because that sound is. You know that's part of Roland's history school. Whitney Houston Records, you know just it's a such a cool vibe and a great sound. Now of course with the Supernatural Acoustic Sound Engine and the Supernatural Electric Piano Sound engine, we also have of course all of the meat-and-potato sounds

 Incredible sounding instrument. It has all of the pianos, all the electric pianos, all of the sounds that you really need. incredible internal sounds, but also an amazing control ability to go out and control all of your external sounds from mainstage or from all your VST instruments. It just really is everything that you need

 Add a button push away in addition to the output so you can easily set up. Oh maybe in this one program or this one scene, you just have output coming from the Rd and then you quickly change to another scene and the output is only coming from mainstage, so that is very, very cool. So it just really steps up the Rd to be an incredibly professional instrument you know. Great for the stage, great for controlling very complex setups

 Now there's one thing that I really want you to understand and that is that the RT Mm is sporting two different types of new types of sound engines. Okay, we have the Supernatural Piano Engine so that's brand-new and we also have the Supernatural Electric Piano Sound Engine. So we got some of the most amazing electric pianos in here, as well as incredible acoustic pianos. Now you heard this electric piano

Roland RD-2000 - Demo with Scott Tibbs

 Ive had a Motif 8, Triton Pro X 88, and most recently the Yamaha KX-8 (got it used for like 300 like 10 years ago). I was going to splurge and get an expensive keyboard, for the "feel". I was eying the RD-2000, Korg Grandstage, Roland FP-90X, Nord Piano 4 etc. I thought I was going to have to pay at minimum around 2000 to get into the nice keybed space (PHA-50, RH3 etc)

This is my dream come true (a top-line keybed for lowest price possible). The oboard sounds are pretty ass, but I dont use on-board sounds, dont sequence on the keyboard, dont need a built in audio/midi-usb device, dont need "bluetooth" connections, dont need onboard speakers, etc. Just give me the nice 88-key keybed with a midi out, and I am golden. I cant believe this is real

 In short, this stage piano has everything you could want in the piano department.  Secondly, the action is superb. Roland is putting the new PHA-50 action on all of their keyboards, and not limiting it to just their highest end products. This is a great step

 They are using the same action in the RT 2000 as what you're going to get on a lot of their LX HP or the DP 603. So this is an actual wood core action I believe they called the PHA or the Ya PHA 5 wood action. So you've got a nice texture on the top. You've got a wood core action middle

Looking for a budget 88 key weighted synthesizer piano

 feel of the instrument was a no contest - the Roland just feels better built. In general it seems that Yamaha builds great instruments, but the CP4 did not feel of the same quality as the asking price.

Background - I am a product manager for an industrial electronics manufacturer not a professional musician, I've more experience with acoustics and audio production and also have a very technical background. This was researched extensively prior to purchase. My main hobby is producing ambient/experimental/electronic music and instrument performance and quality are very important to me. I recently started with piano lessons as I have no real formal training and wanted an instrument that was as faithful as possible to an actual piano but didn't have space for a baby grand piano

The only other close competitor was the Yamaha CP4, and I think the sound quality between them is largely a matter of taste so would call that a draw, although I felt the Roland had more possibilities for adjusting the audible nuances in an instrument that were important to me

 It's the new Roland Rd mm that's just being released at Nam at the moment. so what have we got? Well, we've got a return to the professional stage piano. The role has always been famous for the original RT series which started way back, but this thing is is loaded to the hilt with everything a a modern performing musician or a studio musician or an amateur musician may ever want. You've got two very, very distinct sound engines on board

 that you've got all your real-time faders here and real-time knobs and you can tweak everything on the fly. It comes up on the screen as well. It's got a decent sized screen on board so you can see what's happening and you've got full control and full menu and editing controls as well. so it gives you the best of both worlds

 I’ve tried myself in person different digital pianos including the newest yamaha Arius. I must say that this digital piano is way beyond all the digital pianos i have tried. It almost feel like a real grand and you can edit the tone and touch quality yourself to adjust to your taste. Its amazing how I was able to tweak every single note’s tone quality, volume and other detailed settings to make it sound more real! Money was all worth! If I was to compare an upright piano in anyway or another, this is still better in touch and heavyness of the keys as well as its unique ability to tweak the tones

I bought mine in guitar center and the reason why i bought there is to try out the piano in person and has a safer security on warranty. I’m a professional piano teacher who prefers a grand piano with heavy touch and quality sound for advanced classical training but since I just moved in a new area, i needed a much more portable piano but not forgetting the quality I was looking for.  And if you are playing live and you like to be the control layers and different things like that, and also when you want seamless midi integration where you can play your Vsts and stuff through here as well, you just have your laptop and your Vsts. You may not be playing the internal sounds on this at all, but just controlling all of your other gear. This keyboard really excels excels at that and I also do love [Music] I love the i love the key bed, um it's just it's a it's a joy to play. so um, maybe not the most complicated keyboard in the world, which it doesn't have to be
