This board does do pretty well on that, it does have quite a bit of camber underfoot, surprisingly.

This board absolutely rips any steep lines, especially hardpack or ice but also gives you insane float in the powder when you ride at speed (it doesn't take much to get going either). For a 163 board, it turns super quick even in the trees or moguls. It does get a little dicey when trees get tight because it's pretty long but in my experience, it seems to do pretty well in the nicely spaced tress around Mt hood.

I think it's a worthwhile investment if you're not completely comfortable with 1 footing. Or if you just like a little reassurance and confidence that your foot isn't going to slip. I find it especially helpful on my rossignol sushi.

So I got a new snowboard and bindings and tried them out this weekend, Rossignol XV and Burton Step Ons. It was cold and somewhat icy conditions this week in Eastern Washington, so I couldn't test the Burton Step Ons in powder, but I was super impressed none the less at their performance. I felt super locked in , and it was really easy to get in and out of them. The Rossignol XV was amazing, I got it in 168W because I wanted something that was fast and could hold an edge on ice, and boy does it!
