 So good to know It does have a protection circuit in here as well, so if it drops down, 2.7 volts automatically cuts off. So if you're concerned about unprotected button tops, don't be the radio supposed to be able to handle it. If you are nervous about it, just use protected cells like something like that

I had to replace an emergency radio that had stopped holding a charge.  The speaker is acceptable. The rechargeable battery seems OK (I haven't used it enough to see how long the battery lasts yet).  One note -- the frequency indicator bar is way off

 The flashlight was very bright and useful, and the ambient light with the motion sensor shuts off frequently. In a blackout, I'd set it to run all the time.  Overall, it's still a useful emergency radio and power source, especially for the price.

I suggest Runningsnail make the battery compartment work with a snap latch instead of screws - in the event of an emergency, you don’t want to look for a tiny screwdriver to take out the tiny screws if you need to replace the batteries
