Works great but has flaws

 I ordered a first one and it would connect with HDMI but no audio would play even with headphones. With the new one I got after returning that one, the HDMI would only display video to the TV (no audio) and audio will only play through the audio input/output cables. HDMI port should be fixed to allow audio to play through that alone so that no sound bar is needed for this setup and sound play directly from the tv. For the price, it's a good buy, but definitely notable low quality of product flexibility

Product works but an audio system is definitely required to use

We couldn’t use this because it leaves an open Bluetooth connection and therefore is only good for home use. In a public setting, this product broadcasts an open Bluetooth connection that unless you have something already connected to it, anyone can connect and broadcast music from their device.  Also, the audio quality from the mics is a bit hissy and the range is not great. Could be so much better with antennas

Fortunately I have two stereos between the TV sound bar and a regular home unit. I found that when I try to run HDMI from the computer through this device to the TV there's about a half second lag from when I speak and when the sound comes out the speakers. But when I use the auxiliary output and connect directly into my stereo there is no lag time. Between the two systems I've made them work

Not easy to setup with sony blu-ray home theater system

. the mixer converts my voice from analog to digital signals and then sends it out to the TV again via HDMI. The result - a lag between the TV output of my singing and my natural voice!  My solution was to (re)connect the Fire stick to the TV directly, as I had been doing all along before I bought this mixer. But instead of outputting the TV sound to my sound system directly, I route it through the mixer using the AUX cables provided

 I love the automatic pairing of the microphones with the mixer-receiver, so that part of the setup was super-easy!  But the HDMI connections are not really useful for karaoke purpose because of the latency (lag) issue. I am not a sound technician or an electronics expert, so initially I took the advice from one of the Q&A answers here and set up as follows - I hooked up my Fire stick directly to the mixer's HDMI-in, and relayed the YouTube content from the Fire stick to the TV through the mixer's HDMI-out. But when I sang into the mic, there was a noticeable lag! It is NOT an issue with the equipment, but rather simple physics - the TV plays the music video and my natural voice sings/syncs to the TV sound, but my voice also gets transmitted by the microphone to the mixer.

 That said, I think it renders the HDMI connections pretty useless for karaoke purpose! I'd be interested to hear any suggestions otherwise.

I am not an audiophile but do have some standard when it comes to audio, so would say it provides reasonable audio quality for both music and vocal. You will need to adjust and balance the music vs vocal volume control for the best outcome. I only use Bluetooth vs aux so far and it works flawlessly, didn’t test hdmi
