The Ryno-Tuff 21W impressed us with its charging abilities right off the bat. In our first round of testing, this panel soared above its competitors in charging speed, charging our phones over 30% in 30 minutes. This is impressive for any panel, let alone a humble 21W model. The Ryno-Tuff also works fairly well at charging multiple devices simultaneously, even though its claimed output isn't all that impressive. The panel is also durable and relatively compact, making it portable enough for trips into the backcountry. This combination of features and a reasonable price tag make this panel an excellent option for those on a budget.
We had a few complaints with this panel, but they are all fairly minor. First of all, the storage pocket is very small and barely fits a phone, making it feel a bit useless. Additionally, the Ryno-Tuff ended up with underwhelming results in our interruption recovery tests, showing that it is not the best option for use in marginal conditions.

4A, 20% beyond what the device itself says it can do, but it fell back after a few seconds. This is not acceptable.  On the overcast day, the Ryno delivered a maximum of 500mA before collapsing, about 2.5Watts

 25% of full capacity is acceptable in these conditions. When not aimed directly at the sun during the sunny day, power dropped off by 50%. This is acceptable, too.  The other panel I tested, "Solar 21", was even worse

Severely overstate the capacity - ABSOLUTE max it can do is 12 watts. NOT 21. Best case.

 I set it outside with an iPad connected in the afternoon (slightly angled sun view) and it was pumping out the power! I recommend this one.

Best one I've found

 The only thing you have to worry about with this charger is someone stealing it from you because it's so awesome - I'm not kidding about this. Juice in the outdoors is a tough commodity, so keep it out of sight or secure it somehow. I haven't tried hiking with it but with so many mounting points, I have absolutely zero worries about doing so. Of course, you can charge your devices directly through the panel, but I think it's a lot better to charge up a few battery packs and then use those as you need them

Essential item for camping!

The Ryno Tuff charger performed excellently on a week-long backpacking trip in the Sierra Nevada in late July/early August. We could charge two phones at once whenever the sun was shining, even when it had just risen or was about to set. Phones charged fast during most of the day. It could charge a phone strapped to a backpack when the hiker was going in and out of shade

 It isn't very fast, but it still charged our two iPhones, a battery pack, and an iPad without issue (not all at once, you can charge two things at a time max). We laid it on a tree stump in full sun and connected our devices. We put the devices under the charger to keep them out of full sun, and I am pleased with it's performance on all three device types. Please remember - it's a charger, not a battery

I just received this solar charger and have only used it once so far. I wanted to see how it would do in charging my portable battery I use for camping and hiking. This charger worked great, it was unbelievably simple to hook up my battery to charge. You just plug the USB side of the cord into the supplied charger and presto you're up and going - that easy
