 My Dell 4Ks (27 inches) look great to me even though they’re not over 200 PPI, so you don’t have to go all the way to an LG 5K or an XDR, but the drop in pixel density was a lot more jarring than I hoped. Keep in mind that if you’re not used to high resolution displays, and if you’re just working on things like spreadsheets, this probably won’t be a big deal to you. The viewing angles were OK. They’re in the “bad” section because they’re a noticeable step down from an IPS panel, but they’re not horrible or anything

 For some people, it will do that job just fine, but for many it won’t. The resolution is simply not high enough for a monitor of that size to have a precise and sharp image yet, at least not to my eyes. I think for the well-heeled home user that just wants an epic monitor, or for the gamer, these flaws are probably acceptable. For gamers, perhaps this is even desirable

  The good: Size: 49 inches is actually only about 2/3rds the screen size of my previous triple 27 setup (basically two 27s combined), but for multitasking, it's even better than you'd expect.  I've found this to be a problem because this panel has very bad off axis color and brightness shift. That isn't normally a real problem for single-person computer monitors but in this case it means those outside 10" are viewed at an angle and, while not unusable, you can absolutely notice the color and brightness change which isn't good if photo editing is one of your goals. - The other issue with the curve stopping in the center sections is that the left and right edges are 4-5" further away from you. That changes the focus distance which is a little irritating over time when working across the monitor

I wanted to move mine higher than the stand allowed, and with the large stand footprint you're not going to be propping this up on a thick book

Great monitor, many new games don't support, supported games have issues

 Well I found the magic answer - still kind of annoying as it is manual and requires multiple button presses, but apparently when the monitor changes inputs you can press up or down again to change to the next input, rather than waiting for it to scan (this is mentioned in the instructions, but who reads those? :D Also, I did try a firmware update hoping it would solve some of my issues but it did not. :-(  -- Original - after 3 months: Make sure your computer can handle this resolution. My 2016 MBP can only do 3840x1080 or something similar (it has an option for 5120x1440, but I believe the computer is still sending a 3840x1080 signal and trying to squeeze in the extra pixels which looks terrible (tried both HDMI and DP). My new M1 Mac mini can handle the full resolution and refresh rate with ease though

 Instead you go through multiple toggles of the one main menu button. But that's NOT the problem. The problem is that the stupidly designed menu option to switch screens is just that -- push to the next available screen. And if there is ANY reason the monitor cannot pick up that source, like the source went to sleep -- which you cannot see of course till the monitor shows that source -- the pathetic monitor will just shuffle past that source

Most annoying monitor I ever owned

I'll preface this by saying I did not buy it for gaming - I bought it for general use in the office to replace my two 27" 4K displays.  I returned this once I used it for a couple of days. I thought I could get used to it but it just didn't work for me. The main issue was that, at native resolution (5120x1440), everything was so small that it caused two issues for me: (1) it was difficult to see things well unless I got too close for the radius of the curve of the monitor, and (2) text became extremely pixelated and the low PPI was exposed

 Everything was beautiful when running in what MacOS considered "normal" scaling, except at that point everything was huge and it was pointless to have such a large display.  When in HDR mode, things seemed to get slightly more clear, except the display became so dim in HDR mode that it was not usable, even after jacking up brightness/contrast and playing with Color Calibration in MacOS and playing with various other settings on the monitor.  A lot of this may be a Mac limitation on scaling since most people I've seen write reviews have Windows PCs - but beware if you're looking at this for your Mac.
