 This is a chipset that's been around since 2017 and honestly, it shows. This phone is significantly slower than its competition, which sport more powerful chipsets for the same money. Oddly enough, the phone was less prone to stutters than the A12. However, the Galaxy A02s runs Android 10, with one Ui 2

 You have the same in-house gallery app, file manager, Samsung browser gesture navigation, as well as a system-wide dark mode. The A02s has a triple camera setup, consisting of a 13 megapixel main camera, a 2 megapixel macro shooter, and a 2 megapixel depth sensor. In comparison, the A12 has a larger 48 megapixel quad bare main snapper, but if there's any difference in image quality, it's not in daylight photos during the day, photos were sharp and detailed and were definitely good enough for the class. There's some grain in uniform areas, but we've seen noisier images from more expensive phones

 Some might be a little more expensive, but it actually might be worth it over the headaches that come with lower chipsets. And there's also future proofing to consider, so take your pick wisely. Thank you for watching everyone stay safe and I'll see you guys next time! [music]

 In better lit areas, images are usable. It's a bit of a shame that this phone doesn't include a night mode, because it would really have benefited from it. The selfie camera isn't particularly impressive either. Images are soft and have little detail, even when we disable all the skin softening

and they're all mediocre. I can't stomach spending another $150 to buy the same exact watch that barely lasted 2 years. Its $200 for the Galaxy Watch Active 2 but even then.

.meh. Fitbit's offerings are mediocre for the price. IMO Apple is eating everyone's lunch because there's no real alternative to it on the Android side

Android watch ecosystem really needs a Google Pixel Watch. My Samsung Galaxy Watch Active died today and I looked for something new and it honestly doesn't seem like anything has changed in the last couple of years.

Verdict – Significant problems with the affordable smartphone

 And in this video, I'll not only explain why, but I'll also offer a brief comparison to the regular A02 so you can see the real world difference in performance and features. And I'll also talk about my long-term use with this A02s now that I've had it for a couple of months. So first off, let's just quickly go over what we're working with on the A02s and how that stacks up to the A02. I just want to give you a broad overview comparison since we mainly want to focus on the A02s anyway

 anyway. Honestly, I think where this phone does fall short the most is in camera capabilities, and that's a little tough for me to say because Samsung has made great strides in its camera tech specifically for the budget devices. But camera tech on smartphones in general has just improved so much so quickly, especially over the last year or two, and it's now easier than ever to see just how far behind some of these budget phones are. Now, the main lens on this device is a 13 megapixel F 2

 In fact, I think it's a fantastic value for the price. This phone, performance wise, can handle more than even I expected, and while I know most people will probably just use this phone to do the simple stuff, if you wanted to push it more if you had to, you totally could. It's not missing a whole lot either, and in fact, I think it offers even more than the price reflects. And comparatively, like I've harped on up against a similarly priced A02

 While the A02s not only can handle the simple stuff with ease as any phone should, but you could very well get even more out of this phone than you bargained for. Actually, that equates to basically two days of usage without needing to be plugged in, but I think if you're using your phone maybe a little less than average, you could stretch that out even more. The big battery size on its own is obviously nice, but it's the combination of less power hungry specs and a lower resolution screen that all mean this phone is efficient to say the least. So if you're looking for that long lasting device in particular again, I think this is exactly what you're getting

Wow launching it with Android 10, and will get Android 11 in a few months, but won't be updated to Android 12. Geez, this is what makes the name Android a bad thing, and people believe Google is not updating all Android phones,  but in reality it's the OEMs decision.

It'll most likely be targeted at B2B costumers like construction firms, stores and harsher workplaces. For them it doesn't matter if the phone has an older snapdragon or if it runs android 10. Why do you guys think Walmart purchased a couple hundred thousand Galaxy Xcover Pros?

Samsung just slapped a quad-core Mediatek CPU on the Galaxy A02 (a drastic downgrade from the A01) and a Snapdragon 450 on the A02s. Both really popular 2021 phones (outside of 1st world), both 2017 socs. Now THAT is old.

 I pay cash for a Samsung A02s because I NEED a working phone (on call for work and have an elderly mother). It was the cheapest phone they had in stock. Of course the sales guy pushes a ton of accessories on me and even tries to get me to add a line to my account for the A02s after I already explained the situation. I was not in the mood!
