Battery – I don’t have a 5G contract, so I disabled 5G, set brightness to adaptive and so far I am getting 7 to 8 hours plus of screen on time, so no complaints. Charging does seem a little slower, but to 50/60% it’s about the same. Calls – no problems. BT – no problems with my Samsung Buds, my Motorcycle Intercom system, Sony WH-100XM3 or anything else

 This should have had a flat display.  Never the less the camera is a bit better and maybe the screen is better in a side by side comparison. I liked the camera cut out better on the s10+ better as well. I haven't found a good use for the spen yet

I am thinking about returning this and going with the s22 plus which we would be a no brianer but the 256 gig storage is smaller than I want. I’ve been on my minimalism journey for quite a while now, and for the most part, I’ve found a balance in what I extrinsically own. But I feel I’m still yet to truly conquer my inner wants. I have everything I need materially, and more than I could have ever asked for in my relationships. But I sabotage myself because I’m never content. 

For example, I’ll be spending time with my partner, and then get agitated because I feel I should be working rather than enjoying my time. That then creates tension for both of us, and I kick myself for that because I’m trying to be present but I can’t help but feel I can’t enjoy my time until I achieve external goals. Afterwards, I remind myself that the moments I’m going to hold most precious are with people, not my work, but I still commit the same mistakes. 

And rather than enjoy the things I already own, I’m always picking out what they don’t feature — for example, with my tech devices I have one of the best tablets on the market but I can’t help keep looking around for the next “upgrade”. I resist the urge to buy, but it’s a real battle for me because I’m never satisfied with what my current items offer me. 

I already own few things and that’s great. But that’s all a numbers game and external. It doesn’t mean much if I own fewer than 50 items if I can’t get the deep stuff right. How do I start tackling the internal facets of minimalism and find contentment in my life?

How do I find contentment in that which I already have?

The camera is great. The phone is great.  The battery lasts about 3 hours max. The face recognition works about 10% of the time

I'd say go with S21 Ultra.  It's more of a "new experience" than Pixel 5 and it's also more customizable.  It's not very difficult to disable the Samsung apps for the apps of your choice either (some are ok, some [you will absolutely want to get rid of](https://lifehacker.com/how-to-get-rid-of-samsungs-ads-on-your-galaxy-phone-1844281263)).

The only good thing about the Pixel is the lack of bloatware. Otherwise, it's overpriced and has inferior specs. I've read elsewhere that Samsung hardware is also more durable and can last longer at a better condition, but I do not know how to verify that.

S21 Ultra is awesome. You really can't go wrong with it. The Pixel 5 is nice but in a totally different pricing tier, it can't compete with the Ultra. Even if you wait for the Pixel 6, I don't know if you will be impressed enough to go with that over the Ultra.

The hardware itself is nothing if the software is poorly done. You can have 12gb of ram but poor memory management will diminish this benefit. The same goes for battery and camera. I'm not talking about the S21 ultra specifically, but I hope you got the point. If you want the best camera, I'd get the pixel, or better wait for the pixel 6 which should have a decent hardware.

Long time iPhone user that craves innovation and a new experience. I’ve researched a ton of phones and narrowed it down to these two. Camera quality is my first concern, but they both seem to do really well there. 

My hold up is do I choose to get Samsung’s Ultra, knowing that it comes with just so so so much bloatware but an amazing hardware experience or go with Google Pixel, which has less impressive hardware but a clean experience.

Samsung Ultra vs Pixel 5

 Here's what I've noticed:  1) CAMERA: Pictures are noticeably brighter and sharper on the S22U using the rear cameras. Colors are as good as the S21U. Front camera not tested.  2) BATTERY: The S22U has similar or slightly shorter battery life than S21U, and the S21U was 1

Paid Best Buy $177.xx out the door for S22 Ultra 256Gb (unlocked) with S21 Ultra trade-in last week. Here's what I've noticed:  1) CAMERA: Pictures are noticeably brighter and sharper on the S22U using the rear cameras. Colors are as good as the S21U

 Front camera not tested.  2) BATTERY: The S22U has similar or slightly shorter battery life than S21U, and the S21U was 1.5 years old! Not a heavy user, but battery seems to drain faster than the S21U. So not an improvement coming from a brand new phone

I'm still using my P4XL and have been in the market for a top of the line flagship phone. My concern with being a long time Pixel owner is that maybe my perspective of what a flagship phone has been skewed from all my years with Google. Maybe the P6 Pro is really just a flagship phone relative to what Google offers but not when compared to other options like the S22 Plus or Ultra. After watching their rollout and watching some reviews the S22 lineup looks pretty good and like a finished, solid product. Whenever I've jumped into a Pixel, I can't help but feel like I'm stuck with a good looking beta and they're still fixing the plane as it's up in the air.
