Samsung Soundbar HW-A650 Full Overview With Sound Demo

I just bought a new soundbar cause my last one died on me. I tried two Vizio soundbars and although they worked fine (these did not have this audio delay issue which leads me to believe its the soundbar), the sound quality wasn't the best. I bought this Samsung HW-A650 soundbar and it sounds much better but I am having this issue with the audio being delayed.

 Just to know, the soundbar is has a clear voice and is a great product which I'm okay with because i usually play music from my phone and i have a "Equalization" where i can tune the file and get a more bass but there is a "bass boost" mode as well which makes it better for most people. I'm not saying there isn't a any bass, its my thought that isn't enough for myself.

Another thing is that while watching a movie or listening to music, you can't really feel the bass waves while there is a sense going on like a bomb blast where you would know there will be a bass but its less compared to the voice. the voice is aloud and clear but the bass is little less. I did had woofer level on 6 which is the high you can go

 You connected the subwoofer by uh, pressing this button right here. press this one and then on your remote, press the the lower lower key and then after you press the lower key, it will show Dbr right there or something and then press the upper key right here, up key for five seconds and then it will show right here. Set up. So right like that, press it and then press the lower arrow and then upper arrow for five seconds and it will show right here

SAMSUNG SOUNDBAR A650 REVIEW

 I am also unclear on if the A650 supports true 5.1 with the rear kit, or if it still plays in stereo, as that would be a major deal-breaker.

I have a little more faith in Samsung as a manufacturer, and while at $399 I don't think the A650 is a good deal, at &lt;$200 it's a bit more compelling. However, I have read of people having issues with the rear speaker kit either being very quiet or difficult to get sounding good for various reasons. I am also unclear on if the A650 supports true 5.1 with the rear kit, or if it still plays in stereo, as that would be a major deal-breaker

GREAT SOUND FOR THE MONEY

I would recommend going full surround with Samsung A650 and SWA9100S rear speakers. You can also get Samsung Q600A for Atmos with the rear speakers. If you have the budget, then even Q800A with SWA9500S for a 5.1

I've had a love-hate relationship with the 207, I find the tremble/clear voice too harsh and the sub bass crossover not the best (both these things are well documented about this soundbar).

Sucking with the Yamaha, I'm looking at these options.

Upgrade from Yamaha YAS-207 to...?

 Simple setup - just a power cord and an optical cable (included) to the TV (plus another power cord for wireless subwoofer)  Cons: Poor documentation inside the box; I had to find the full user's manual online in order to figure out how to get the soundbar to synch to my TV remote; I eventually succeeded. Also am not really clear on the actual technical differences between the sound modes (I keep it on 'adaptive')

My 15+ yr old Samsung 36" flatscreen is still going strong but sound has degraded slightly in the last year, so I finally decided to buy a basic (<$300) soundbar for TVs below 50". After doing some research, I settled on a few, including this one. A capable soundbar for the price. Just set your expectations accordingly. You won't mistake it for a soundbar costing 5x as much, but it improved the sound on my Samsung tv a lot. Admittingly my tv sound was bad so that bar was pretty low to begin with

 I finally googled the problem and found videos on how to remove the back cover. You basically have to use a butter knife or small flat screwdriver to pry it off. The fact that there are videos of this out on the web shows that my remote was not an isolated problem. But overall it's a decent soundbar for a reasonable price

I knocked off a star because (1) the sound level does not display on the tv screen when adjusting the sound from the remote, which I find annoying, but it's not a deal breaker for me, (2) getting the remote cover off to put the batteries in was a pain
