The best customizable soundbar under $500 that we've tested is the Samsung HW-Q600A. While most setups under $500 come with basic sound enhancement features like bass and treble adjustments, this 3.1.2 setup has a full graphic EQ that gives you more control over the bar's sound across the entire range. Along with its bass and treble adjustments, you can create whatever sound profile suits your needs the best.

On its default settings, this bar has a pretty neutral sound profile, with a balanced response across the range that ensures detailed vocals and instruments in the mids. There's a touch of extra boom in the bass, too, so you really feel the excitement in bass-heavy genres like EDM. There's also support for Dolby Atmos content, and it can playback surround sound formats like Dolby Digital that are commonly found on streaming platforms.

Samsung Q600A Soundbar & Subwoofer Review

I just got the samsung q600a soundbar and use it with a Sony x850. The Sony tv remote controls the soundbar just fine.

I got sick of juggling my two Samsung remotes for the tv and soundbar so I came up with the remote hugger. I am aware that I could have taped them together.

5 hours with a Samsung tech who finally managed to get me reconnected to the soundbar only to have Alexa still not working. I called back only to find there was no documentation on my first call. So starting from scratch we reset the soundbar again. It seems you have to have a phone to connect to the internet

 The sound would cut out every minute or so. I ended up streaming to it via Bluetooth but that is problematic as every time I turned out the TV it would break the BT connection and I would have to manually reconnect it. I decided to reconnect it to the wifi as it would not do so. I spend 1

Wifi ? Sort of, sound quality is great but wifi connectivity requires phones to be present

 Pro knows when you are gaming and it will adjust accordingly so like maybe, if you're playing some call of duty or something like that and there's loud guns, it will adjust the volume on the gun levels. So there are speakers on the top and then there are speakers here in the front that are booming out, and then you got the sound bar that i have sitting on the floor. There you do get a dedicated, uh center channel, which does a fantastic job of handling the vocals when it comes to any kind of movies, or anything like that. My wife and i were watching a television show the other day, and i was really surprised at how well it balanced the vocals with some of the like explosions or anything that were in the background, so that dedicated center channel does a fantastic job with that

 One of them is that arc hdmi input you get the regular uh, 35 or 3.5 millimeter uh the old-fashioned, stereo jack. You get that and then you get the optical audio cable, which that's what i'm using here and then, if you wanted to, you could even bluetooth it with the tv. But if you have this, i recommend that you go wired in you're, going to get the best connectivity that way and you're probably your best sound

 Light it lets, you know what input you are running. So since i am running an optical cable to it says direct in. If i was running bluetooth, it would say bt, um and if you're running like through an hdmi cable, it would say that also now the remotes on these things. They are really thin like that

Bang for the buck is probably Vizio still. Either of the M series soundbars. I have and can recommend Samsung Q600A with swa 9100s rears. You can get both for about right at or slightly below your budget and would be perfect for your set up

 nowhere close to what i've experienced with my lg or the jbl soundbar. i love this soundbar, but have to return for the quality of subwoofer at this price

Great surround let down by inconsistent subwoofer

 Soundbar TV. So you can see they're pretty similar but I imagine once I get the soundbar hooked up I would really hope that I can get it hooked up to using just one remote because I hate having to use two remotes. So we'll see how that pairs up with it and see if we can just use the one remote. The TV remote

 So you don't even need to push in the button on there to pair it. It automatically did that. And one of the ways that you can tell if it is paired is on the back side of the subwoofer. You'll see that there's a blue light right there shining

 Let me tell you it is a big difference between using a sound bar and just using the speakers on the TV. It gets pretty loud without having to turn it up very far. So much so that my wife is sitting behind me and she started squinting her eyes like that because it was just getting kind of loud for her. But listen in

Most of the comments on Amazon say the rear speakers crackle sometimes. Some also mentioned that keeping WIFI away from the speaker solves it. Did anyone experience the same?

I am going for this for the convenience of no wires to rear speakers ( because of how my rented apartment living room is ) and  I really love 5.1 system. 

Any alternative soundbar if this is not a good choice?

[URL REMOVED] fw 1008 i have been running with the soundbar was installed back in september so it must have a nasty bug that is causing this problem, hopefully samsung will come up with a fix soon since this has rendered my soundbar useless.

i've had this soundbar for over a month and could'n't be happier up until last weekend when it started crashing , i factory reset it, reconfigure it, but the only thing that helps is to power cycle it but that temporary solution doesn't last long , in less than 10 mihutes it starts crashing again, it's happening to a lot of folks:

I would recommend going full surround with Samsung A650 and SWA9100S rear speakers. You can also get Samsung Q600A for Atmos with the rear speakers. If you have the budget, then even Q800A with SWA9500S for a 5.1

 If you have the budget, then even Q800A with SWA9500S for a 5.1.4 system. Samsung has generally a better balanced sound profile, and those rear speakers make a big difference

I've had a love-hate relationship with the 207, I find the tremble/clear voice too harsh and the sub bass crossover not the best (both these things are well documented about this soundbar).

Sucking with the Yamaha, I'm looking at these options.
