Cons. - Bass is not punchy. Rtings.com called this out in their review and it almost scared me off, but if you have a medium-ish room, this subwoofer should be enough. I also tried out the Samsung HW-Q800a (same soundbar with bigger sub) and the Vizio SB46514-F6 (HUGE sub), and I found both of those had too much bass - I had to turn down their subwoofer volume levels to the minimum in both cases.

I just went an purchased a Samsung HW Q800A last weekend as it was on a pretty big sale. So far i am extremely happy with it. Movies and series literally feel like I am sitting in a cinema, especially with Q Symphony enabled as well. Music also sounds very crisp and clear.

Samsung HW-Q800A vs Vizio M51a-H6 (or M51ax-J6)

HW-Q800A owner here. The Samsung soundbar is honestly one of the best purchases i’ve ever made this year. The sound is really clear, Dolby Atmos is very pinpoint-accurate, tons of adjustment for EQ and separate speaker volume, its “surround” setting, despite being only 3.1.2, does an excellent job expanding the soundstage without distorting/destroying the audio at all.
