But you'll find more customization tools, including a 7-band graphic EQ and multiple preset modes that give you more control over how the bar sounds.

Right out of the box, its neutral, balanced sound profile makes it suitable for listening to different types of audio content. Voices and lead instruments are clearly and accurately reproduced, and its balanced treble range ensures that you hear the detail in higher-frequency instruments. If you prefer a different sound, like a bass-heavy profile that adds even more boom to your tracks, there are plenty of tools available to get the response you want.

However, this setup isn't quite as versatile as the Sonos, especially when watching movies. It's especially noticeable with bass-heavy music and intense movie scenes, and you don't get the sensation of your seat rumbling beneath you like you would at a movie theater. However, it still does an okay job with 5.1 surround sound formats like Dolby Digital, using its Side Horn speakers to simulate sound effects in the soundstage around you.  Again, uk figure eight mains lead there for that dc pack, so just plug in there remote control on the remote we've got power on and off at the top source or input button, pairing or bluetooth. Pairing cursor arrows left right up and down playing pause. So if we play music, we can play and pause the music or skip forwards and backwards through the tracks mute button that one will cycle through the different sound modes and we've got a settings cog which will take us to treble and bass volume pushes up and Down woofer goes up and down so we can alter that woofer up and down, which will in turn alter the base as well double a batteries for the remote and there we've got the wall mount kit but, like i say, have a look at that wall.  One is it's actually pretty decent, sound bar. It'S a compact all-in-one job. So if you haven't got room for a separate, subwoofer or anything i'd say it's a good alternative uh. It doesn't have tons of bass, but it does have a decent amount of bass

 What i'll probably be doing is connecting hdmi to my tv and linking it to the soundbar. That way, you can also see there. We'Ve got these two base: ports. That'S one of those side, air horn speakers there that they mentioned on the pos as well same on both sides, so dimensions just over 76 centimeters, maybe 763 millimeters, if we're being precise or 30 inches the depth just over 12 centimeters

 You can adjust these settings through your tv's menu ui. I raise the base and lower the mid on the soundbar [ Applause ] [, Music, ], [ Applause ] go faster, [ Applause, ], [, Music, ], [, Music ].  The soundbar has a fabric mesh covered body with metal, end caps on either side and up top. There are physical media control buttons with hidden leds that animate themselves. If you're watching something in a dark room which can be annoying for some people, however, i do got to point out that the sound bar is a little on the larger side when compared to its direct competitors like the jbl bar 5

 So you can't get a wired connection going. If you wanted to. However, thankfully the soundbar does have bluetooth, so whether the soundbar is in an area of the house with spotty wi-fi or if you just want to easily share your soundbar with a friend so that they can dj. You can always just use trusty old bluetooth, but this now leads us to the midi controls on the soundbar up top there's a volume up and volume down button, which personally, i am a fan of, because then this way, you're not surely reliant on your phone or Remote control, if you're listening to music with this soundbar, but the soundbar does come included with its own remote control, which gives you full control over your media

Priorities would be dialogue clarity first and decent overall performance with movies &amp; TV (compared to TV speakers).

So far, it seems like the Sonos Beam and Samsung HW-S60A would be most suitable for my use case and budget.

Sonos Beam vs Samsung HW-S60A

 It sounds great, though I sure would like to adjust it to see how the other options sound. Second issue is you can't see the controls on the sound bar unless you are standing over it. The soundbar is wall mountable, so if you wall mount it, you can see the controls and lights, but I am not wall mounting it. It sits in front of my tv

 The remote fried and the batteries super heated and melted. I decided to order a better all in one soundbar, so I ordered this one. Really easy to set up except the remote doesn't work at all. I took out the batteries that came with it, put in new Duracell and it still won't work

REMOTE CONTROL IT COMES WITH DOES NOT WORK

It's not burning hot, but warm enough to be noticeable. I understand most soundbars are passive and expected to get warm when in use. But I can't find any information about it's temperature while off. Shouldn't it be cool when idle?

EDIT:  Also I'd be curious if anyone could explain why a modern 2021 medium-level soundbar from Samsung wouldn't support eArc (only Arc), and if it would affect my sound quality ? (TV has an eArc port)

  I got a yamaha sound bar, it took about 20 min of firmware updating and plugging / unplugging and now it works perfectly, participates in speaker groups etc. So it is possible to have full alexa functionality with a non amazon device, just not a samsung apparently.  If you don't need / want the alexa functionality then this product is great, the sound was excellent and it looks nice. HDMI/ARC worked perfectly without trouble

I tried for a few hours to get it to work with alexa, I'm a professional technician and work with AV equipment for a living but this configuration was beyond me. Samsung product experts were absolutely no help. Basically the unit would be connected to the internet in the samsung app and I did manage to connect it to alexa but in alexa app it said the unit was not connected to the internet, but it was. I tried all the normal stuff like updating the firmware etc

 It was just not happening, after three hours of trying I returned it. My experience with samsung has pretty much been this , great hardware but not great software / constant connectivity issues. Soundbar recommendations?

 Finally, the sound bar does not have a display so you have to rely on obscure light patterns and sometimes a recorded voice to know what it's doing.

I bought this sound bar to go with my new Samsung TV. It looks nice and sounds good. I am only giving it three stars because of some frustrations I've had with it.  Connected via HDMI, it integrates pretty well but does not keep the sound mode setting after turning the TV off and on again
