SanDisk Extreme Pro

You didn’t mention your SD card in the ZX507? Personally, I found the Sandisk *Extreme Pro* to maximize the IER-M9’s dynamics and imaging.

The SanDisk Extreme Pro is my favorite card for my Nikon DSLR's. I've never had a SanDisk product fail in the past ten of using them. This item was sold at a great price and shipped fast!

Just don't get cheap cards - this is something I've noticed those people who always have card failures do because they 'always buy new cards' because they spend so much on cards and they only use them once... so they get cheap cards... SD Cards and CF Cards I'd recommend SanDisk Extreme/Extreme PRO range or the Lexar Professional Range. I recommend against using an adaptor and MicroSD cards. For XQD/CFast/CFExpress Sony's Tough line appears to be quite reliable and highly rated (and their SD Cards are quite good too, I just never used them so can not recommended them), but I don't shoot on these types of cards so don't have direct personal experience with them. I always handle my cards as little as possible.

I use 128GB SanDisk Extreme for all my drones/cameras. Kinda excessive as I don't think I've ever used even a quarter, but then again they're not exactly expensive and it's nice never having to worry about space.

I have the Sandisk Extreme Pros that you do, and I’ve never come across anything the EOS R can’t record to them, including the highest bitrate 4K video. If you want a faster card, there is a Sandisk UHS-II model. The ProGrade Digital V90 cards are also similar in performance (the V60 cards are about the same speed as the Sandisk Extreme Pro).

If you plug your camera into a power source (and remove the battery), you should be able to set up your shoot without any issues (giving the correct size memory card from the recommended list). Between your two choices, I would recommend the Hero4 Silver, because the Hero7 Silver is seriously handicapped of features, and you can't take the battery out so you risk overheating the camera, which could cause the camera to freeze up, losing your time lapse. If you set a 5 minute interval and shoot for 7 days (84 hours), you would record 1008 pictures, which would be a 33.6 second time lapse when played back at 30 frames per second. Most 64 GB cards can easily hold 10x that many time lapse pictures (my SanDisk Extreme Pro 64 GB card will hold about 23,000 pics), so you're good to go, even on a 32 GB card.

Why not test it?. I have used 160MB/s CF cards and high speed SD UHS-I cards like the Sandisk extreme pro just fine for recording videos.
