Bringing us to our final criteria is the Saucony Peregrine 11 a bye try or wide distilling it down to its simplest form. it's a try.

I've used the shoes 4x totalling ~50kms on mixed surfaces - pavement, grass, well gravel, hard pack, mud, rocky sections (although not as rocky as the Italian Dolomites). Yes theyre comfortable for long distances (furthest run was a 21km) and yes there is bounce and energy return (not as much as the Invincible X Flyknits. It's a bit firmer than that).

It's comfortable, flexible and I really like how it wraps my foot. This shoe rewards good form and mid foot strikes.

This is a shoe I can put on, tie once and run for hours and hours without any issues. The shoe drains well when wet. I have been running in a Smart Wool, PHD merino wool trail sock all season. The sock and shoe combo really works well.

Started out super comfy but as feet swelled the midfoot became increasingly snug and blisters started to become an issue. Also the medial side of the upper started separating from the midsole around 150 miles into the hike and by the time I reached Canada there was ~3/4 of the medial side of the shoe that just disintegrated.

Overall, I feel great in and about these shoes. I have enjoyed the high-cushion zero-drop experience and will likely get another pair to keep in my rotation.
