Schiit Hel

We've talked about audio quality, microphone quality, and how this stacks up to the competitors.

If you're looking forward to game with a bit of music on the side I'd say get the Schiit Hel. Both are very good (I own them).

summit1G is one of the streamers who swears by their ADs, but in his case is the AD900X. That combined with a Schiit Hel, Schiit Modi-Magni Stack, Audient Evo 4, Mayflower Ark MK2 or JDS Labs Atom Stack you have a competent Audio Setup. Even if you still keep wanting the DT1990 Pro's, the DAC/AMP solutions above are valid, with some supporting Microphone Input, one of them in the XLR format.

But, I found that certain sounds in games were very loud and their was a lot of range from one sound to another. Which I thought made the Playing shooters difficult. Because you want to listen to foot steps but then a Gun blast blows your ear drums out. I personally think the Schiit hel should have some EQ adjustability for gaming.

The Schiit Hel is actually a solid DAC/Amp and is leagues better than the GSX 1000. It would pair better with something like the PC38x but it would still work great even if you don't plan on the mic input (unlike the GSX 1000, though, the mic input is really good and has a built in gain dial).
