Schmidt P900

I'd rank it somewhere the Schmidt Easyflow and the regular P900. It's an improved P900, if you will. It flows and glides effortlessly, which is a must for me as my wrist simply cannot take anything else for more than a couple of minutes.

I tried these cartridges in two different pens, writing on several different types of paper. Each time it came out quite bland. I mean...technically they write, but that's about it. Definitely not impressed.

Schmidt make great ballpoints, like the p900 for pure ballpoint toughness or the easyflow for a gel like resistant ink. Also, Bic also do make great refills. You don't truly appreciate the cristal until you got one of those cheap school ballpoints or even a more expensive refill. Other then the waste factor, the cristal is a genuinely awesome writer for the price.

Replaced my Parker Qink Flow cartridges with these Schmidt P900 refills. The ink is not gummy like Parker Qink. Flows more like gel and still does not bleed or run. I think Schmidt P900 is the perfect viscosity. If longevity is as good or better than Parker Qink, I'd call this the perfect Jotter car...

They blow expensive refills out of the water. In M. Visconti AA38 SmartTouch is almost as good as the easyflow but with more drag. Schmidt P900 are a great EDC refill in any pen. My daily gear is a Rotring 600 in silver or a Jotter with a Schmidt P900 inside.

I picked these up for my Retro 51 Tornado. The ink is smooth, the medium point a good width, and the smudge factor is low. (Important as I’m a southpaw.)

So, as I also own a couple of other pens, I thought it would be a good chance to stop the disposable pen idea and get a pen that takes refills. From what I gather the Schmidt Easyflow 9000, P900 (if ballpoint) and 5888 Ceramic Roller are highly regarded refills. I am inclined to get a Rollerball more than a Ballpoint largely because of the smooth writing experience and the darker colour of the ink.

It took several weeks to arrive. The use itself is very good. I like the thickness of the ink. Lasts a long time.

I use the Schmidt P900. Definitely a traditional oil based ballpoint, but writes super smooth with good feedback. The easyflows are just too slippery for me haha
