 It's now in the 20's outside, and while I'm still working out outside, I'm afraid the elasticity of the bands at that temperature may make them more likely to break. That said, the bands appear to be well made, and my experience with "resistance bands" has been good. While you may be only able to attempt one cross on rings without assistance, with the bands (you can use them in combo), you can get enough help from the bands to actually work the cross multiple reps. multiple sets—use a stiffer band as you tire

Smells awful, & possible eye irritant?

The bands themselves are wonderful and should be very long lived - but I wish I'd seen the review about skin and eye irritation. About an hour after touching the things, and after washing my hands, I happened to rub my eyes and within a short time the irritation began - about on a par with cutting hot peppers and then rubbing eyes.  I'm looking for a latex friendly way to get that stuff 100% off - and wish they'd put something less nasty on the things to keep them from sticking together in shipment.  Oh - and no, I am not sensitive to latex - that's not it

Great Bands, Lousy Coating

I bought the blue one and used it for months- no issues. Stepped up to the red one and it started having issues after a few weeks. I should have tried to initiate the return process right away. Anyhow, the layers started to peel apart

Resistance is nice but SNAPPED! after a few uses

 As I progressed passed bodyweight hip thrusts I started to use barbells, but I was having a difficult time engaging my glutes using this method. So I decided to experiment with bands, and I was really surprised at much harder my glutes were working doing it this way. At the same time, I also started having issues with deadlifts. I realized that I was not using the correct form and actually ended up getting some bulging discs

I've only had this product for a few days, so this review is based on my use during this time.  I came across this product on Amazon after I did a search for Sorinex, as those were the bands recommended by Bret Contreras—the "Glute Guy" and foremost expert on glute training. I had never heard of Serious Steel Fitness, but the reviews were great and the product seemed like it was quality made, which is extremely important because I could only begin to think of the types of injuries caused by an inferior resistance band. Upon removing it from the plastic packaging, I felt I had made the right decision in my purchase
