So if you're listening late at night, you can keep your neighbors happy any kids sleeping anything like that. So it's quite handy when you, when you're, watching the news or anything else, that's quite vocal heavy um that will just make things sound a lot more clearer and then another good tip is that whenever you're watching dolby atmos, it will show that you're getting dolby atmos Content through the sonos app um, so that's nice to see as well

 You also need to make sure the arc is going to fit within the legs of your tv and also on the tv stand itself or, if not, there are wall mounts available from sonos themselves, at 69 pounds or from flex on for 59 pounds and the ark Actually uses magnets, so it knows when it's wall mounted and it adjusts the eq settings to suit now you can also get a handy tv mount attachment for the arc for 89 pounds. So if your tv is wall mounted already, you can use the attachment to get the arc and the tv on the same mechanism. I'D never recommend positioning the arc above your tv because it uses upward firing drivers, and these would probably be too close to the ceiling to get the full effect.  Sls, i wasn't able to do it and that really it kind of bummed me out, because i love how everything sounds. But it's not going to be compatible with everything you have to have an iphone or a mac computer in order to play any audio off of it, and you have to use certain music services connected to your sonos account in order for everything to work properly.  I noticed many users are complaining about same thing on sonos community forum stating distorted bass and muffled sound which exactly I am also experiencing. Sonos support stated they identified potential bug and will release it next week so wait to apply that fix to see if it fixes the sound quality before returning. Overall disappointed

The sound bar quality & sound is absolutely incredible and everything you expect from Sonos. The problem is its the first Sonos that only works on the new Sonos app (Not the Sonos S1 app). What are the implications? I can't group this zone with S1 app zones and Alexa is wonky between the two different systems. Planned obsolescence is in full effect

  Technically, you could create a huge, Sonos wireless mesh by placing a few speakers into each house in the neighborhood, and suddenly the same music could be played at each home for a truly neighborhood block party. Try THAT with Blueooth speakers -- it would not have been possible!  TIP: If your home WiFi signal is weak, you may look into "mesh" WiFi products, such as the Linksys Velop and Eero Pro products. They will help you have strong WiFi signals throughout the whole house by establishing a "mesh" network of network nodes. They are very simple to set up, too!  SONOSNET As I had previously mentioned, Sonos products communicate with one another through a proprietary, wireless mesh network

 The LG soundbar that I returned would also adjust the sound to your room acoustics by playing test tones and listening with its internal microphones to learn your room acoustics and adjust accordingly. Internal microphones are definitely not as good as using an external microphone in multiple locations around your viewing and listening locations but it is considerably better than no adjustment to accommodate your specific room acoustics. For $800 Sonos should have included a microphone for balancing the sound to your room. Also, with my Android app or Windows 10 app I find only 2 adjustments available for the Sonos Arc sound profile, a night mode to compress the dynamic range of loud and soft sounds and a speech enhancement mode which seems to just reduce the base and makes the voice sound clearer but much tinier

I have been looking for a soundbar for my new LG E9 65" TV and tried several ways to improve the sound. This LG E9 is touted to have good sound with built-in Dolby 4.2 and Atmos but I was not surprised that speakers small enough to fit in this thin TV don't have any fullness to their sound. I had an older high end Denon AVR hooked up to top of the line KEF stereo speakers with a KEF center speaker and 2 surrounds that I had used for my previous Panasonic Plasma TV but it didn't have eARC or 4K passthrough or handle the new HDR or Atmos codecs to the new TV

 The ARC has small woofers that won’t vibrate your room like 12” or 15” or 18” subwoofers but that is just fine with me and you can purchase an expensive Sonos sub to add to the soundbar if you wish. You can also purchase Sonos surround speakers but the way my listening area is spread out across a large recliner, long couch and treadmill surrounds would be unbalanced in most of my viewing area. My biggest complaint, and the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, is that unless you are an Apple phone or ipad owner you can not tune this soundbar to your room acoustics. Even my old Denon AVR came with a microphone with a long cord that you could take 8 or more readings of your room acoustics while the Denon played test tones, analyzed the sound and adjusted the sound output to your specific room acoustics
