I know many of you have made suggestions in the past to sonos regarding the beam and i think a lot of them were answered. Starting with the exterior, there are a few things that stand out here: the biggest difference between the old sonos beam and the gen 2 sonos beam is the sleek new grille

 It'S interesting to see that this is still not included, but i'd much rather stream music through my wifi network, rather than using bluetooth. I think a lot of people get stuck on the fact that sonos doesn't offer bluetooth, but once you start streaming music through wifi rather than bluetooth, you'll realize just how much better it actually is. It makes for a much better experience without having to worry about the range which is about 30 feet. The quality of the audio is much higher and it's quicker to disconnect and reconnect to it

 Yeah 450 dollars is a bit steep for a compact soundbar like this one, with no included subwoofer or anything like that. But what you will get is a product that will last for many many years. Sonos products are extremely well built. They sound great they're, easy to use and they're even upgradable

 Something like this lg with e-arc dolby atmos support and dolby atmos pass through. However, all things considered it's an excellent compact, soundbar, [, Music ]. You 

 So that's good news. You can use it as part of a wider sonos system, but you can't use it as a standalone bluetooth. Speaker, you can stream music to it, though, over airplay 2 or through sonos's own app, when you're using it as an audio, only standalone device, though the the sound, can feel rather small. You don't get quite enough

 Now it's not as huge as soundstage as you'd, get with separate speakers, or indeed, as big as one you'd get with a sound bar with up firing. Speakers like solace's arc, where you do actually get sounds in the corners of the room, albeit only in front of you, but the beam still manages to create a realistic and enjoyable placement of sound. I'Ve been using it with this very large lg 75 inch tv and it still creates, in spite of its small size, a soundscape, that's bigger than the picture, because we are so used to hearing sound this way. We don't notice that it is merely a fraction of what its potential could be, but what, if sound, could be extraordinary and really helps you to enjoy films with a dolby atmos soundtrack? Incidentally, i've had none of the lip sync issues with this that i had in the early days of the arc

 Technology first, impressions are very good. Indeed. Vocals are clear and easy to listen to there's lots of high frequency detail and controlled, powerful bass. Personally, i wouldn't feel the need, i think, with this, to have a separate subwoofer

 Only issue, when you change the volume, no indicator comes on screen, so I have no idea what level I'm on. Just nice to know what numbers I need to target when I need to adjust the volume quickly for when I need to adjust the volume.

The sound is great for a small speaker without a subwoofer. This was important b/c I have relatively small space/didnt want the subwoofer taking up floor space. It was easy to set up/get connected. Connected to my appleTV as well, so can control the speaker volume with appleTV remote

I have a similar set up with a wired Beam gen 2 and two symfonisk bookshelf speakers. If WiFi is turned off on your Beam, the frames will connect to your own WiFi network (shows WM:1), this can be problematic if your WiFi 2.4Ghz network is not good, or has a lot of traffic on it. If you turn WiFi ON on your Beam (recommended), then the frames will disconnect from your WiFi, and connect directly to the Beam (SonosNet shows WM:0)

So I got myself two symfonisk frames today. And as I finished to set them up and added them as surrounds in my living room setup (Beam+Sub)
I've now started to watch a movie and ran into the problem that it seems they are having connection problems. The sound hangs from time to time and even disappears completely sometimes. My beam and sub are wired and the frames are not. The router is like a max of 2.5 meters away. So I wonder again what in the freaking sh** can be the problem again that the are not connecting correctly. I'm asking myself why am I buying wireless speakers with the possibility to be wireless, when i have to wire then to function properly.
May someone has ran into a similar problem and can help me out.
