 Even shows some love for the luddites, with an optical out supporting the three people who own this sound bar and a non-arc tv. I assume to be ironic and oxen for the record player computer speaker rock on you'll find a usb port which is primarily intended for music playback, not just updates, as we see with many bars. This peculiar s center out enables, with this provided, cable to use, compatible sony tvs as an additional center channel. Look for bravia acoustic center, sync compatibility

 It does make the sound bigger, but it's largely achieving the effect by putting the tweeters in hyperdrive when listening to just music, it tended to make the sound almost grading. For instance, a clapping sound was given far too much emphasis and made super bright relative to the rest of the ensemble. Whoever mastered the song would get really offended for sober casual music listening the height effect was really not my style. I generally enjoyed music with the immersion ae button off

 So, since we're not looking at a classical 7.1.2 bar driver-wise sony uses fancy software to make their claim realistic. First up the vertical sound engine which specializes in eq and emphasizing frequencies in a manner that tricks your ear into believing sound, is occurring at different points

 Nearly the whole bar is gold. If you're looking for a sound bar that arguably offers both peak cinema tech and sound and a system that, while not completely my speed, delivers a glitzy, clean, atmospheric, modern music performance spread your wallet. If you want a device that makes your tv sound better and makes your music sound, warm and cozy, this is more than you need too much far. Perhaps in every respect you can meet your needs for a lot less money

HT-A7000 Review - Best?

 I have had the Sony for about 3 weeks now. I have been going to various BestBuys lately and seeing my other options, I definitely don't want the Bose 900, the JBL 9.1 is very nice, but I don't like those rechargeable speakers. The Klipsch cinema 1200 is reported to be plagued with problems and bad software

  While not at all as aesthetically pleasing, it does offer a good Dolby Atmos experience. At least that's what the reviews are saying. I have had the Sony for about 3 weeks now.  And behind the HT-A7000’s front grill is a small display that shows what input it’s playing from (HDMI 1, 2, or TV) and shows the volume or sound mode when you’re making adjustments. When you’re watching something through one of the two passthrough HDMI ports, you can hit the remote’s “display” button for a summary on your TV screen that details the current audio signal and whether the vertical speakers are active. When the soundbar is outputting TV audio, you’ll see those details on the tiny front display. 

Around back is the arsenal of ports: two HDMI in, one HDMI out, inputs for analog and optical audio, a USB type-A port, and power. Aside from the bundled remote control and HDMI cable, Sony also includes brackets and screws for the HT-A7000 in the box if you want to wall-mount it. I can’t really find any faults with the remote: it’s very Sony, but at least there are individual buttons for both HDMI inputs and all the sound modes you’ll use most often. 

1 / eARC port, Sony’s new soundbar gives you an extra one. That’s something the Arc or lower-priced soundbars can’t do.

 This is for the sort of person already splurging on a Sony A90J OLED with enough disposable income to add Sony’s top-tier soundbar to their cart. But to really, truly get the most from the HT-A7000, you’ll also eventually want the optional set of wireless rear speakers ($349.99) and standalone subwoofer ($399.99 for 200W or $699

For those who can afford to throw cash at something that sounds great

 I think around sixteen hundred dollars, or so for the pair is a much more justifiable and fair price tag. But unfortunately, i don't really see this happening in the near future. If the price is justifiable for your budget, then i would highly recommend it. If not, i would check out my recent video on the best dolby atmos sound bars of 2021, to see some of the other great options that are out there

Sony released a few new sound bars this year, the hta9 which isn't really a sound bar and takes a pretty different approach than what a lot of us are used to, and i'm still desperately trying to get my hands on right now, the hta 5000 and its Bigger brother, the hta 7000, which is what we'll be looking at today. It'S been almost four years since they've released any high-end soundbar systems, so does the hta 7000 live up to the hype? What'S up guys jonah mathis here there was a lot to take in and evaluate when looking at this sound bar, especially when listening to it, the overall performance was pretty shocking, to say the least. Even better from what i can tell it tones down the built-in subwoofers, quite a bit, the vocals dialogue and left and right channels of audio become quite a bit more clear

Not the ST5000, it tested badly for music playback. Even if you'll probably use it for more than music, why pay 1000$+ for hardware that only plays tv and movie audio right?

Just bought the Sony HTST5000 and then realized Sony has a new one out that seems tough to get. I am pairing it to a 77” A9G Bravia OLED. 

Best to wait it out and get the HT-A7000 or stick with the one I got? Worth it with the price increase? Does the HTST5000 have the Bravia center speaker integration?

Any insight would be appreciated. Y’all have a good day!

Sony Soundbar - HTST5000 or Ht-A7000

I love everything about this sound bar except the audio synch. I got the 300 watt sub, and the surround and it is amazing. The problem is it randomly has issues with audio synch. Depending on what I am watching, The sound will come about 1/4 second after the lips move

I have tried the Sony HT-a7000 and the bar kept losing connection to the TV. Constantly having to reset everything was a pain.

 Worth the price? Not for me. I prefer the Sonos ecosystem for a whole-house setup, app control, and other smart functions. Could the Sonos be configured to sound as good as the Sony? Yes, but for a much higher price when you add all the various components together.  For the audiophile, this Sony soundbar is a seriously good investment with some convincing surround sound effects and heart-pounding bass during action sequences and games

Soundbar without a subwoofer?

 The ARC “CEC” connection is not compatible between Sony and LG. Turning off the tv will turn off (standby) the soundbar but turning on the soundbar does not turn on the tv. Further turning on the tv first causes the soundbar to revert to tv (which has no input other than the HDMI out from the soundbar). After a delay, the soundbar displays the Home Screen on the tv to require a fresh choice of input

For audio, we are getting Apple Airplay thru the TV down to the soundbar via screen share. Sounds great. For chrome cast and Bluetooth, must start that on the soundbar with the selected radio method before any device can find the soundbar. Interestingly, Amazon music is not working thru chrome cast, does work via Bluetooth

 Then turn on the tv. It will be fed the HDMI1 signal. It may also revert to Home Screen, but the HDMI1 input is selected and a straight press of the center button on the remote will kick back to displaying the HDMI1 signal.
