Sovol SV01

Looking for a solid direct drive printer, don't really want more than 220mm^3. Considering artillery genius pro and sovol sv01, don't know any others.

I didn't like mine and I'm in the process of getting rid of it. Look into the following: Artillery Genius, Sovol SV01, Artillery Hornet, Anycubic Vyper. Those printers should be drastic improvements over the Ender 3 and will last and print better, while also being more worth it for their money.

I don't play that game. After getting it running, I tried printing some PETG because I don't want to mess with my Sovol SV01 and convert it to all-metal and I thought the Replicator would be a good high-temp machine. I was wrong :( Makerbots are locked down in software (the 2X has been abandoned by Makerbot so you get to worry about that too) and parts are nonexistent if you don't know how to spec generics. I'm still messing with it because it's in my basement now, but I won't touch another makerbot ever.

Ignore everyone telling you to get an ender 3 v2 and get a SOVOL SV01 instead. Direct drive is a billion times better than Bowden tube and the build volume is much bigger. Install a firmware that has linear advance enabled (not supported by ender 3 v2) and calibrate it and it will print as well as a Prusa mk3s.

Looks like I can get a new Sovol SV01 for about $240. Looking for something that can print ABS out of the box, shouldn't be too difficult to upgrade to the point of printing nylon or polycarbonate (replacement going to an all metal hot end), and I'd like to run it using Octoprint. I don't mind tinkering with it occasionally.
