Specialized Stumpjumper Evo Expert

Since purchasing my stumpjumper in August I've become absolutely hooked. I work from home and have the luxury of being able to ride daily, and I average about 1.5hrs of riding a day, mostly at Allatoona Creek Park, Mt. Tabor, and Lost Mountain. I've logged roughly 750 miles in the time I've had the bike, and its become an obsession.

Personally, I would pick the Sentinel, but I'm also a transition fanboy.

As you wear out parts from use, you have a wide range of options to choose from including upgrading, as you see fit. It is a FANTASTIC bike to grow with. I don't think you will be dissapointed at all.

I don't throw it in rivers but I have put 1300 miles on it through fine dust and mud and it's been fine. I just accept that it'll probably be more costly to maintain than a normal bike - but so far it hasn't.

Sounds like you bought too much bike for your needs.. I did the same thing when I get the Fuel EX 8 and Stumpjumper. Now I have a Scott Spark that's much lighter and easier to handle and since I don't have crazy downhill trails near me, it's the perfect bike for my type of riding.. You bought an all mountain, heavy Enduro bike that's meant to take a beating. Keep riding and get use to it or change it up and look at the used market.

Was better climbing and descending for me. Currently on a 21 Stumpjumper Evo and really like it. I don't think I will ever go back to 27.5 unless I am picking up a 2019/20 Remedy as a 2nd bike. Geo plays a huge role.
