I really enjoy fishing with this rod. It's an accurate long-caster when used with the proper weight lure. I tested it to find the perfect lure weight by crimping split shot to the line and making casts, adding weight until I was satisfied, and then weighing it. Now when I shop for lures I don't buy anything I will be unhappy with at the river

The only thing that kept me from giving five stars is the reel seat

 I went on a 3 day canoe camping trip in the borderwaters in Minnesota, and it was the best time I've ever had fishing. We canoed and portaged all the way to this tiny island, miles away from any living person, and caught maybe 40 smallmouth bass where each one felt huge. This would not have been possible with a regular rod — it would've just not worked flying from the Southern USA to Minnesota in the backwaters, too bulky. One of my favorite fishing memories
