Staedtler Mars Technico 780

The Staedtler Mars Technico 780 2mm is my favorite pencil. Has been for a long time. Great balance, comfortable grip, and it somehow makes the lead feel smoother than my other holders do.

Staedtler Mars Technico 780 2mm lead holder: nobody talks about it much, but lots of people seem to have one. Pilot s10: King of bottom heavy drafting pencils. Another pencil that doesn't get talked about much, but you'll see it lurking in lots of collections. The s20 gets a lot of attention, but it doesn't feel anywhere near as nice to use as the s10.

Beside the ergonomics, the need to sharp the pencil often and the details who can offer a 0.3 mm.... The lead refill are very cheap in comparison. By example, I normally use a rOtring 600 0.5 with Pentel leads for general writing, Pentel GG in 4 leads sizes for draw and a Staedtler mars technico 780 2mm for sketch. The 60 bucks they cost are only 2 assorted Castell 9000 sets... so, money is the reason.
